[First there was the fact that he even woke up alive. Not to mention in one piece. Then the contract thrust at him by people he didn't know. But the final straw was what felt like an insult on top of everything.

Sanitation duties. He had enough of having to do the crappiest jobs before the war, for the Council. He refuses to be treated like that, and forced to do the same again now. For a crew he doesn't know at all.

So it's with that, that he addresses the network. Looking none too pleased. Not that he ever looks that pleased. He's not big on the idea of using this device, but he's insulted enough to use it this once.]

I may be stuck on this ship, but I will not be cleaning up your messes while I'm here. [His long tail can be seen flicking in the background of the video.]

I am not a waste disposal unit. You can clean up your own messes.

[it's killing riptide, it feels like. before he even replies, just thinking about what he's going to say makes his spark clench in a way that immediately brings what tarn did to him with his voice back to the forefront of his mind.]

[The silence that hangs between them lasts for an eternity. Magnus doesn't know what to say to that. Magnus doesn't even have the wherewithal to reprimand him for doing something so callously stupid.]

[His hand slides off of Riptide's shoulder as if the life were being pulled out of it. And with that fleeting strength, he gives Riptide a gentle shove back into his room when his hand crosses over the smaller bot's chest.]

[What comes next, might be something the sticks with Riptide forever. The look of total defeat on Magnus' face.]

[The fact that the younger bot thought that all Magnus wanted was to arrest him. To...To seal him in the brig as if that would remedy all of the problems? He shakes his head and before he turns away, he offers Riptide two words.]

[riptide isn't sure why he yells after magnus. he's never been bothered about getting the last word before. he's just feeling too many emotions that he's convinced himself he's too stupid to understand properly.]

[If there's ever been two words that more appropriately summed up what Magnus feels is currently his only course, then those were the two.]

[After the door slams, he turns back as he feels his spark constrict. He wondered if maybe he had tried too hard. Done his job a little too well. He wanted peace. And maybe he tried too hard to make that peace a reality. And...maybe in doing so, he alienated those he spent millions of years fighting beside.]

[Perhaps...in his attempt to co-exist with Megatron...perhaps his former friends saw him as someone who gave up on the cause.]

[Perhaps he really did deserve what he got.]
