Hopefully we can come up with some more solid defense strategies in cases like these, even if they're exceptionally hard to predict. Considering the range of experiences available among the crew, there should be some useful recommendations.

But yes, those years are important to us. It's not just about how long we live, it is the sometimes sudden nature of death; no one can really predict when they die. That is why every day is important; there is no way to know when it will be the last time you see that person.
