Hi all, just some quick housekeeping:

• I've doubled the security on the Mako. Fair warning: any attempts to hack its console will result in consequences. This is not a challenge! If you need it for anything, please get in touch with me first.
  
  
• It seems I'm your new Assistant Head of Tower duties, with Ryuuzaki functioning as our Head. I'm looking forward to working with all of you from here on out.
  
  
• I've already spoken with Ryuuzaki regarding my transfer from Engineering to Assistant Head of Tower duties, but I still haven't managed to locate how I was approved and placed in the role in the first place, as it was an application process. If anyone has an idea, please let me know.
  
  
• I was absent for a month in cryosleep, so my apologies for not being completely abreast of every on-board situation for the time being. Unfortunately, I have nothing new to add to cryosleep: I don't know what brought it on, I didn't go anywhere, and I don't know what stopped it.

He's definitely leaving out the 'government experiment' part and also the 'saved the world from robots' part and also the 'commanding officer of an international peacekeeping organization for twenty years' part. Vague references to the US Military is probably as good as it's going to get.

Anyway, all of that sounds like space.]

What year did you leave to end up on-board?

[Equipped with the numbers, Shep does some quick math. Served in the 40s but unspecific about enlistment. Going with a "18+- in 40s" recruitment standard plus 30+- years to end up in the vague 70s would put him... around in his mid-to-late 50s. The reticence on exacts was a bonus clue — spouting exacts was a younger behavior.

The demeanor, the questions, the wording — answers, but just the facts. That was military enough for her — that, plus the age suggested veteran special ops. Well, no need to give him a harder time about it. She sure as hell wasn't getting any younger.]

Not sure if we're from the same universe, but the Systems Alliance military work of your time is what we built our training on.

Easy question to check: any notable moon development in 2069?
