[ Everybody settling in alright? Or at least, as well as can be expected?

Everybody enjoy their cherry tasting legumes?

Adrien had intended to send this out as a text, but he was still getting used to the new TABs and upon realizing his mistake, couldn't be arsed to change it. The doctor usually looks harried, it might have something to do with his perpetual scowl, but he's looking particularly yanked through a knothole backwards at the moment.

All the way down to the fact that he's obviously showered and made an attempt to trim his beard, only to wind up cutting himself. Please ignore the tell tale little dots of paper stuck to his face at the moment. The blade was dull, okay?! ]

It dawned on me, as these things do when one is slicing their face open with a razor, a question that probably should have been asked a week or so ago.

Those of you in the crew, who are capable of, or posses magical abilities and of a temperament to help, would you have a spell or a ... [ here he gestures with his hands, he's not trying to be offensive, magic is just not something his world has ever been exposed too and he's only aware that it can be vary from person to person. ] ... that would purify water?

Thinking if that ability exists, we might give it a try on those purple streams and see if we can remove some of the nasty side-effects and restock our supplies.

I know the standard ways of purifying water, but I can't guarantee that it will completely clean this out.

I know how to construct a solar still but I'd need help, and from there I would need charcoal filtration.

So it's not a one-man job but even without magic, it can be done to some extent. Do you know what's causing the side-effects?

You definitely look like you need the rest before you do anything.

[They all do. But not all of them have shed blood recently.]

Dorian is exceptionally talented. Though I don't know how many of the medicinal and magical [there's still some reluctance in saying that word, since it sounds half-mad to refer to] plants were salvaged from the ship. Sort of important in case it requires a potion.

Some men look very good with beards. Some of us don't. [Kaz is fine with his own scruffiness as it is. He's not about to go so far as a full beard.]

I believe once someone who could judge magic remarked that the Ingress had qualities to it that they could "sense". Not that it means much, but we are in a place where Ingresses seem important to the landscape. You're probably on to something.

I don't either, so I can't fault you. But I've a couple of partners that wear them very well. [He'll just say "partner" and leave that vague.]

And yes it does. It's been obvious this universe supports it as a quantifiable resource of some point because it will allow magic users to use it similarly to how they do at home, but they often say they have sources to their abilities they shouldn't have access to. For instance, Link's came from a goddess figure and unified power, but Dorian frequently refers to the Fade. My theory is something here compensates in the absence of their sources.

Right now some people are experiencing some stifled skills, but we might benefit from someone using magic or placing a functioning magical item around the Ingress when it's being studied.

[It's probably for the best. Miller can only go so long without a professional conversation anyway.]

Not necessarily a prevailing one. Just a theory. We do know that the Ingress emits something that's its own. Whatever effect it's had on us hasn't been researched, not out of lack of interest but rather the fact the crew bleeds members like an open wound. Those that were experts in both magic and science have left.

Unfortunately if they had, it was likely lost in the crash.

But I'll talk to some of the people that knew them. See if I can dig something up. Even things said in passing conversation could be useful.

There was a scientist here with magical inclinations. Looked like a skeleton. His name was "Sans". There's a slim chance he could have come up with something useful. He worked as a janitor but I do know he was doing some research in his spare time.

I think anything he might have found might be the best chance. But keep your ear open for anyone else.
