[ Everybody settling in alright? Or at least, as well as can be expected?
Everybody enjoy their cherry tasting legumes?
Adrien had intended to send this out as a text, but he was still getting used to the new TABs and upon realizing his mistake, couldn't be arsed to change it. The doctor usually looks harried, it might have something to do with his perpetual scowl, but he's looking particularly yanked through a knothole backwards at the moment.
All the way down to the fact that he's obviously showered and made an attempt to trim his beard, only to wind up cutting himself. Please ignore the tell tale little dots of paper stuck to his face at the moment. The blade was dull, okay?! ]
It dawned on me, as these things do when one is slicing their face open with a razor, a question that probably should have been asked a week or so ago.
Those of you in the crew, who are capable of, or posses magical abilities and of a temperament to help, would you have a spell or a ... [ here he gestures with his hands, he's not trying to be offensive, magic is just not something his world has ever been exposed too and he's only aware that it can be vary from person to person. ] ... that would purify water?
Thinking if that ability exists, we might give it a try on those purple streams and see if we can remove some of the nasty side-effects and restock our supplies.

... right?
The tiny blue mutant clears his throat, shifting a bit on the edge of the rock he's currently perched on, head tipping to the side in curiosity.] Personally, I do not know any spells or possess other magical abilities that could purify the water.
[A pause.] If there is anything I can do to help, I will provide my services, though.
no subject
Sorry Kurt.
This did mean that the conversation rolled along as it normally would, with the doctor nodding and seeming ready to dismiss the comment, only to pause. ]
What services might those be?
[ Despite the perpetual scowl on his face, the question is asked with genuine curiosity. While it would probably help if he properly introduced himself and went through proper introductions, Adrien tended to jump right into the middle of a conversation and run with it. ]
no subject
For a moment, he looks disheartened; it seems as if he's going to be brushed off, but when he's asked about what he can bring to the table, Kurt perks and flashes a fang-filled grin.]
I can teleport.
[While it's not much to offer in the aid of cleansing the water, he's hoping that it's something that can help. Surely, there are other people out there with powers that far surpass his own, but that's not what he thinks about. He wants to help - in whatever way possible, even though he's not quite himself.]
no subject
The blue didn't bother him, nor did the ears. The tail, if and when he saw it, might get a question. ]
Teleport could be useful. Can you carry weight or only teleport yourself?
no subject
Speaking of that tail, the spade of the appendage dips over his shoulder as he also leans a bit closer to the camera to examine the man on-screen.]
I can carry weight. Objects and beings.
no subject
It wasn't that Adrien had never met a humanoid species with a tail before, just ... been awhile since he's seen one. Particularly one that looked as prehensile as Kurt's. It also looked like it could be pretty dangerous, though the man he spoke too had only offered assistance. ]
If we can figure something out, it might help to transport some of our containers of water from the cave systems to camp. The pacdiscs are always an option but teleportation might be faster.
no subject
His eyes avert to the heart-shaped end of his tail and he reaches to grab it, pulling it out of view from the camera. It's too late to try and hide it, though he doesn't want it to distract too much from the conversation.]
Any way that I can help. My teleportation range is roughly three miles. If need be, I could stretch it to make the trips quicker.
no subject
Because he honestly wasn't sure just how spread out they were. Which was disquieting. ]
Besides, the cave systems seem to be relatively close. It might come down to how abilities work in various locations around here. [ He'd forgotten that some people had come up weakened after they passed the boundary. Though it did sound as if these changes came in degrees. ]
no subject
[Of course, he's easily noted the distress in Adrien's tone and that automatically makes him speak with less thought about his own well-being and more to offer comfort to ease his worries.
Thankfully, Adrien doesn't know about the exhaustion he suffers when moving copious amounts of people.]
I have done my best to explore the caves, although the ... faceless creatures have attempted to hinder my every move. [He draws his hand up, cupping it around his face, eyebrows knitting together in thought.] My abilities seem to work just fine, as long as I drink the fluorescent water.
no subject
The comment about the faceless creatures earned a flat press of the lips, but then his eyes sharpened at Kurt's last comment. ]
How often are you drinking it?
no subject
He's a bit taken aback by the question and the look in Adrien's eyes, but he stiffens his upper body in an attempt to not appear too intimidated.]
About every four to six hours.
no subject
There are sources of a fresh water that were brought along from the ship. The Medical Tent has access to some if there aren't any other available bottles. [ He wasn't sure how supplies were being shared with the new arrivals. ]
no subject
The Medical Tent? I will have to stop by there sometime soon and see about getting some normal water. [Because, while he won't admit it, the glowing stuff is making him rather sick to his stomach most of the time and the exhaustion that goes along with it is ridiculous.]
no subject
He also directed the young man towards Angela, as she was better at doling out sympathy and gentle fussing. Something about the boy's kind manner suggested he would do well with a bit of warmth and Adrien was about as cuddly as a cactus. ]
She's one of the physicians in the crew and will be able to help you out.
no subject
His timidity and usually somewhat anxious nature are on hold for the most part, since he's not speaking to the other in person. Had they been chatting in that manner, the fidgeting of his hands or nervous twitch of his tail would be more obvious, but he's doing his best to be brave in his current state.]
Okay, I will be sure to get a hold of her as soon as I can.

He may be rubbish at actually expressing any sort of empathy or decent bedside manner but he's stubborn about making sure the crew is cared for. Particularly if his concern is raised. ]
no subject
Kurt visibly wilts on the screen, swinging his tail around to grip the length that is attached to the spade, absently wringing it between his hands. He wants to mention that Adrien doesn't need to worry about him, that he'll be fine, but he wouldn't want to start an argument.]
no subject
Angela, on the other hand, and even Alva have more nurturing and comforting squishiness to them than Adrien and Kurt looks like he could use a little fussing over at the moment. That doesn't mean the doctor won't be concerned, Kurt is part of the crew after all, he just is trying to nudge the youngster into more supportive arms. ]
Don't worry, Kurt. I think you'll like Dr. Angela, no one here is trying to diminish your contribution to the crew. We just want you to also be safe.
no subject
Besides, even if he does go to Angela or Alva, he's going to tell them the exact same thing: that he's fine and doesn't need anyone to worry about him. The only other thing occupying his thoughts is how similar this man and Charles seem to look, but he isn't positive that's something to be voiced. So, he huffs, bi-colored bangs fluttering with the release of breath and his hands loosening the grip on his tail.]
... thank you. I will find her straight away and make sure I get some normal water to consume, instead of the power-returning fluorescent liquid.
video threadjack I'M COMIN 4 YOUR CUTE BLUEBERRY FACE
Hello dear; I thought a quick introduction would be in order so you know who to look for. I'm Angela, who Adrien has kindly referred you to. I'll be sure to have some water set aside for you, and a few different things to eat and help restore some of the energy you've burned. Will you be able to make it to the tent all right?
[ She'll be easy to find once he arrives now knowing to look for a blond ponytail bobbing about, and hopefully the food she'll be picking out will be something he likes. ]
( ooc: Adrien was kind enough to drop her a line and I wanted to swing by and see if you wanted to work out a thread or just handwave it! I have my event toplevel here, or if you made one, I can jump over and wildcard something up! ♥ )
video; YES COME AND GIVE HIM MOTHERLY FUSSING since adrien can't
Hallo, miss Angela! I am glad that Adrien was kind enough to refer me to you. It has taken me a while to gather my bearings, but someone has been helping me and we should be able to get to the tent with little to no problems.
[Thankfully, he's got a pretty decent memory, so he'll be able to keep an eye out for her once they get there.]
[ooc: YES i private messaged you, obviously. 8'D ahaha ♥]
SHE IS HERE FOR THIS 100%
Except hearing him speak, she's quite certain that isn't the case. Other species did not often have German accents. Her own is soft enough that the audio may not even convey it, her Swiss dialect already a gentler spin-off of German. His greeting is cheerful enough despite the ill effects of the water, though she imagines he hasn't quite come down off the momentary upswing it provides. ]
I'm glad as well, I look forward to meeting you. I'll see you shortly then; please take care!
[ She'll do her best not to clutter up Adrien's feed, and she hopes Kurt will arrive sooner rather than later with his mentioned assistance to get the ball rolling. ]
YES GOOD ♥
Her voice, though - the slightly musical lilt and familiar accent are comforting. While he believes he can hear it, part of him thinks it could be his enhanced hearing being thrown off, what with the multiple losses and regains he's been going through with the water consumption. Regardless of that, the woman seems warm, kind and friendly; welcoming in all aspects.]
My sentiments exactly. Ja, thank you!
[Probably far sooner; it had been a while since his last encounter with the peculiar water, so he's sure to feel the effects and start dropping rather quickly. At least he has a super friendly, armor wearing
giantacquaintance to tote him around and get them there faster.]
