[There's one thing about the MIDs that Tommy can't stand and that's how they're strapped to his hand. Nobody, nobody, can take a good video unless they can extend their hands all the way out and bend them up at angles that aren't natural. Otherwise, the screens too close and tilted wrong. He tries to send a video first, and it's a messy shot of his face before he gives up and sends a text.]

A couple things. Would someone tell me why anyone thought being on a space ship is a good idea? There's nowhere to run.

[Which is the most important thing, obviously.]

Second, I'm looking for some recruits to form a team. Not just anybody. Anyone that's different and wants to stand up to the bad guys. If you're interested, let me know. Thanks.

[He's there a few seconds later, waving as he comes to a stop.]

[Oh man, super speed is so cool.

He waves back once he's visible.]

That's your first name, right? I'm Izuku.

Was there a set up you were thinking of trying out?

Yeah, it sure is. Tommy Shepherd, but you can call me Speed. Any of those.

[He shrugs, looking around him.]

Nice to meet you, Izuku. And I dunno. What were you doing? Let's do that.

Speed will work, it's your hero name right? Like Uravity or Endeavor.

Deku's fine too, that's my hero name.

[His nickname too, he certainly doesn't mind it anymore.]

I'm trying to get less reliant on punches.

[He rubs his right upper arm.]

So I guess that means learning how to kick properly.

[madrush]

It is. I like Deku, too. Sounds fun.

[Tommy crosses to the middle of the room, taking a defensive stance.]

Honestly, I don't fist fight all that much. I do and I can, but I move really fast so the way I contribute to the team is usually related to that.

So we should practice learning to kick better together.

Iida-kun is a little like that. Though he's specialized in kicking- he has engine legs.

[Literally engines in his legs.]

Most of my fights have been close combat kinda stuff.

[He'll move along with him, settling into the stance he's used to. Both hands in fists, one at his chest and the other at his waist.]

Sounds good.

Engine legs sounds pretty cool, too. I would have liked to meet him.

[Tommy gestures for him to come closer.]

No real hits yet. Sort of like a dance. One of us moves in but we stop before doing any damage. The other blocks it.

After we've practiced a bit, then we'll go in for the hard stuff.

[He nods as he comes closer.]

Alright, we can do that.

[His arms are going to be fine as long as he doesn't go all the way to 100% of One for All. In a friendly match like this, the most he'd use it for is the speed enhancement.

He'll settle back into his defensive position and wait for Tommy to make his move.]
