[There's one thing about the MIDs that Tommy can't stand and that's how they're strapped to his hand. Nobody, nobody, can take a good video unless they can extend their hands all the way out and bend them up at angles that aren't natural. Otherwise, the screens too close and tilted wrong. He tries to send a video first, and it's a messy shot of his face before he gives up and sends a text.]

A couple things. Would someone tell me why anyone thought being on a space ship is a good idea? There's nowhere to run.

Second, I'm looking for some recruits to form a team. Not just anybody. Anyone that's different and wants to stand up to the bad guys. If you're interested, let me know. Thanks.

Standing up for what you believe in is pretty extraordinary. And you can have skills that make you a good fit for the team that you don't realize. What can you do?

I'm a soldier, trained since I was 12, which I understand some people find unusual. That involves use of specialized equipment and tactical planning. Some other things, too, but I mean - I'm just a regular human, not magical or a demon or anything like that.

...Though I suppose saying something like that makes it sound like I could be? ;) But I swear I'm not.

Specialized equipment. Soldier. Tactical planning. That makes you special. I think you'd make a good addition to the team.

Nah, it might sound that way, but we've met before and you seem honest. And if you were a demon or magical, it'd be okay with me, alright?

[That's kind of nice, isn't it? Wherever Tommy's from, maybe demons and magical people are the norm.]

That's nice of you to say. I'd like to hear what you have to say about your mission statement in person, though. I'm all for being the little guy in the fight if the cause is true, but any organization needs equal parts ideals and planning.

[Besides, some of his other skills are not ones Armin will want to describe publicly. It'd be better if people didn't know.]

[Oh... okay, he didn't didn't have a plan or a specific evil he wanted to address? Maybe he should've expected that from Tommy, he seems a bit of a free spirit. Armin isn't sure publicly announcing some kind of non-crew group on the ship is a good idea - in fact he's certain it's a bad one that will draw attention - but he does want to help. If anything, it will be interesting to see how the captain reacts, and good to have something to report to Levi about these activities.]

[Sometimes Tommy needs somebody to tell him to slow down and think things through better. That's why he surrounds himself with people that'll do at least that.]
