[ Jack takes a shaky breath as he turns on the MID. He can do this, this gadget he's hooked up to is almost like a radio. It's just sort of stuck to his hand for the foreseeable future. Which is still a step up from jamming a needle in his arm on the regular to boost his EVE. ]

...hard to believe I'm in outer space, it's not the sort of thing you expect to hear outside of books. [ He pauses to laugh under his breath. It's a ragged sort of sound, with a faint edge of exhaustion to it. ] Then again, so do underwater cities.

Hopefully this place'll be nicer than Rapture. [ Though that sudden shift in lighting and the new strict people in charge have him a bit unsettled. ]

Anyways... I was wondering. Has anyone here heard of an Irish fella by the name of Atlas? He was helping me before I ended up here. I don't feel right leaving him in the wind.

What did you mean by "anything inbetween"? I didn't think you could be anything but one or the other.

Finding yourself in a place you never expected to be can be a little rattling. Especially space. I get it. I haven't been in space much myself, even though it's common back home. So much can go wrong in space travel, it's kind of scary!! If you're having trouble adjusting, don't hesitate to reach out! I know there are counselors here.

Being dead? Well, you could look at it as a black and white sort of thing, but I prefer to look at it in levels. You know, like, alive but unresponsive, partially dead, freshly dead, dead but coaxed back, mostly dead, superdead, unsaveable... There are a lot of categories in there, really.

I think I'll be alright. Just as long as nothing ends up like it was in Rapture I can handle just about anything that gets thrown at me.

[ All the discussion of the variations on being dead make him think of what he's seen in Rapture. Specifically the ghosts that appear in certain areas he's investigated. ]

What about ghosts? What do they count as?
