[ Jack takes a shaky breath as he turns on the MID. He can do this, this gadget he's hooked up to is almost like a radio. It's just sort of stuck to his hand for the foreseeable future. Which is still a step up from jamming a needle in his arm on the regular to boost his EVE. ]

You realize that tells me very little. If you don't want to say any more about it, you don't have to. I'll understand if it's too hard to talk about, most places that are considered to be hellish are.

The people there kept taking ADAM, this... stuff that let them alter their genetics. It also drove almost everyone insane. They wouldn't even hesitate to hurt a little girl if it meant getting a fix.

So it was like a drug. An addictive. And they were all human before taking this...ADAM? How did you end up in an underwater city if you were originally from Kansas?

[ Right there is where Elena is realizing they aren't from the same Earth, even if he's from a state she recognizes. ]

ADAM fuels plasmids, which give you powers. The more of it you use, the more you need to keep your body from falling apart.

I was in a plane crash on the way to London, it went down over the the ocean where the city was. There was a lighthouse and a sub that took me down there.

What does he look like? In the rare chance that he shows up and I spot him before you do, I can let you know as soon as possible. There are a few people from my world that I've been keeping an eye out for, it helps to check the MID directory every day.

I'm not quite sure what he looks like, honestly. He was guiding me via radio most of the time. And the one time I did see him was from a distance. I'd recognize his voice before I knew his face.

That...really kinda complicates things.

So obviously then your best bet is to keep an eye on the directory for the next few days. Other than that, just...watch the MID.

I figured I'd ask about him just in case. He's a good man, he looked out for me when things were pretty bad down there.
