Hello everyone, this is Clark Kent, your resident gardener...
[ Clark smiles at the camera, and reaches up to brush a little water away from his brow. He's stripped down a damp undershirt and streaked liberally with dirt. It might be a little surprising to those who've only seen him in his loose-fitting uniform, but Clark is thickly built, and looks perfectly at home with physical work.
Granted, he's not damp from sweat. About five minutes earlier there was an incident with a garden hose that was most definitely shut off when he set it down. He's starting to think that a lot of things on this ship have a mind of their own. ]
If you've been through the gardens lately, you might have noticed some new seedlings peeking through the dirt. So far, I've planted a variety of vegetables and some fruit suitable mainly to humans. Ideally, I'd like to meet more the crew's varied dietary needs. If there are any specific foods you're looking for that I might not be familiar with, feel free to contact me. I can't promise that I'll be able to grow everything, but I'll do my best.
[ Clark glances at something over his shoulder, then rubs his chin, leaving another streak of dirt along his jaw that he's entirely unaware of. ]
And as a last note... I bought a sculpture here earlier, and put it in the gardens for decoration. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of us are seeing memories and weird illusions in the glass produced by the locals. While the effect is physically harmless, it can be pretty jarring, and I wouldn't want anyone to be caught unaware.
[ He pauses for a moment, then shakes his head. ]
I think that's all. You'll be able to find me in the gardens for the next couple of hours if you have any questions.
[ And true to his word, Clark will be in the gardens for the next little while, watering the plants and re-planting any seedlings that need to be brought out from the nursery. ]

Ah, of course. Well... I'm a witch. A witch who can control and manipulate the earth... as such I can help growing certain plants that are in high demand quicker than we would have otherwise. Its an exhaustive process though, so it would be better done under a necessity basis.
[A cough.] And there are certain things of my own, that I managed to travel here with that will need planting before I run out. Herbs, flowers, plants native to earth.

[ He nods, though now he's curious about the hesitation. ] That sounds fine to me. Want to come by the garden and show me what you've got?
no subject
[He nods himself into the camera, hiding his elation at going to find this specimen in person.] But of course. If you give me a moment to collect my things I can head across... luckily my office isn't far from the gardens.

Clark hesitates. He instinctively wants to rescind the invitation - but that would be ridiculous. Eric is a witch on a ship full of aliens. Anything he finds is hardly going to be a surprise, and he's coming over to arrange his garden, not psychoanalyze. ]
...Yeah, I'll see you then.
[ He closes the conversation for now so he can get back to work - he can ask a little more about this high priest stuff in person. ]

He gathers his things and moves quickly, luckily he'd kept his office well enough organized already that lifting the apothecary kit was a small task, and then reaching for the vial on his desk that Tyler had given him. He wouldn't necessarily tell Clark he'd be planting marijuana because the other man might not like that. What Eric was hoping for would be to get a corner of the place to set up a small plantation but it mightn't be that easy.
He picks up the bag and moves from the office, waving a hand to seal the door shut as he left before making the short journey to the gardens and calling out.]
Mister Kent? Are you here?

Doctor. [ He holds out a hand. ] Please, Clark is fine.
[ He inclines his head at the kit in Eric's hand. ] So what is it that we're dealing with here?
no subject
Clark it is. And you can call me Eric of course. Nice to meet you in person rather than on the screen of a communications device.
[He transfers the bag so its handled in one hand.] It is, yes. I happen to have been lucky... I was travelling home from work when I was taken. As such I arrived here with a lot of amenities I might not otherwise have had.

Likewise. [ He matches the smile, more out of habit than anything. He gestures for Eric to follow him over to one of the planters attached to the far wall. There's room enough for a few things, and it's out of the way without being locked up. ]
Lucky for all of us. You said you were a High Priest, back home? What does that mean exactly?
no subject
I did. It is a title, like many others it dictates my responsibility. It means I'm the head of my coven back home. A coven, of course, is a group of witches. It essentially means I've gone through certain trials to make myself more powerful than other witches and I'm basically the head of a rather large family.
no subject
[ He holds out a hand for the bag, since it doesn't look like Eric dressed to get his hands dirty. ]
It sounds like you have a lot of responsibility back home. Is there someone to take over for you while you're here?
no subject
I do, yes... but the elders are more than capable of dealing with things. After all, this wouldn't be the first time they've been faced with this.
