[ Kobra has a little bit of grease on his face and his hair is greasy and sticking to the side of his head. Anyone who's been in the Ingress repairing would have seen him helping there. ]

Hey, so like... how does everyone feel about runnin'? 'Cause they already think we're guilty, anyway, and I don't care much if they think we're cowards, either. Who the fuck are they, anyway? The bravery police? Don't got nothin' to prove to these guys that's worth gettin' half our crew ghosted.

[ He doesn't think he's a coward, of course, but he didn't live this long not knowing when to cut and run, especially when there's children involved. Everyone's on board, so they're not leaving anyone defenseless if they just go. What's the point of staying and fighting? ]

Oh and they're potentially listenin' to everything we say on here, so might not wanna be makin' battle plans on anything that could be listened in on. Just sayin'.

[ He shrugs. ]

The problem is that either they've been tracking the Moira and had little trouble finding it, or they've been following the ship this whole time. Running will only prolong the inevitable.

[ If there were a chance at real escape, Cortana would consider the idea of running far more seriously. They have a crew of varied abilities, a handful of children, and most of them had nothing to do with what happened to the planet... But the ships here don't seem to work the same as they do where she's from--they can't escape using random coordinates and disappearing into slipspace.

Even if they could, she doesn't know everything about the tracking technology that might be possible in this universe. They could still be found. It sounds like running really would only make this whole mess take longer. ]

We may as well deal with it now. Running may simply anger them and, when they catch up, we may not get the courtesy of a warning before they attack.

A fair enough point. However, I can't say I know anything about the tracking technology here, and it seems unlikely that any of the rest of the crew does, either. And even if we were to figure out how they're doing it, we'd still have to come up with a way to prevent them from continuing to do so.

[ Which could be dangerous, depending on the method. If there even is a method. ]

It's not necessarily impossible, but it also may be no simpler than dealing with them as per the plan. If we're lucky, we may even be able to negotiate our way out of it.

You would expect as much. However, I'm under the impression that they may not actually know all that much, and even that which they do know, they don't seem all too keen on sharing.

[ Which is massively frustrating, considering any knowledge they can get on this universe would be useful and could even help them to actually expand upon the little that they already know. ]

If there was a way for us to know much about where we are, I'd agree with you there, but as things are... we haven't got many opportunities to learn much about this universe, the Ingress, or even the Moira itself.

[ She gives the AI equivalent of a huff. ]

We're being kept in the dark, though whether it's on purpose or not is still up in the air.
