Hello my fellow shipmate captives! I hope we're all enjoying our bizarre beach kidnapping. At least as far as kidnappings go, we have quite the story once we make it back. Or if, if you're feeling cynical today.
[The world's weirdest kidnapping in her opinion at least.]
Anyway, I'm Hawke and I have an incredibly important question for the people on this ship to satisfy my own curiosity. Or I suppose some of the people on this ship. ...Probably.
In the past few days I've gotten such shock and awe [The phrase shock and awe is said in an appropriately dramatic tone!] over the very concept of magic, elves, dwarves, and demons. All of those things I see when I pop my head out my bedroom window back home. Well not demons. Or not usually demons but it did happen once or twice... [Her home is basically the garbage dump of the world, everyone.
ANYWAY. She shakes her head and waves a hand to move the conversation along.]
Fascinating but pointless side information. Magic is the sticking point. And the reason I am making this very important message where my face shows up on the little arm thing. Does anyone else do magic? Blood magic? Elemental magic? Necroph- No, it's Necromancer. Anything at all really? I figure there aren't any templars out to kill mages on this ship so we're at least safe to talk about it for now. That would be doubling down on bad luck.
And on top of that. [She makes a small ball of light appear in her hands and rolls it idly between her fingers.] anyone find that doing magic is suddenly a lot harder than it was back home? On the level of "after casting a few spells, I feel like I'm about to pass out and or vomit"? Sort of thing? Haven't exactly figured how they've done it but they've done it. It's a bit impressive, if not very annoying.
Anyway, magic users, questions, hopefully answers! Maybe we could even start a little club where we drink tea and chat up spells. That sounds delightful.
Oh and I suppose if anyone who's in "shock and awe" about magic, this is the perfect time to get all of your questions out. I really opened up the floodgates.

[You're too gross and sloppy to pick people up at the bar, Hawke! It's a shock you ever get laid!]
You don't want to get close to me, I'd make you sticky. [She says with a bat of her eyelashes. What a catch. Though Dorian isn't her type. He's so clean. She needs a nice layer of filth on anything to really feel close to it. It's just like Kirkwall.]
Father was a big believer in blades on the end of your staff. So I've at least got that part I could teach you. Anything else? Might involve getting close with someone sticky.

And that would beg the question "sticky with what?" you're right, I do not know where you've been. [Also true, neither is the type of the other, though Hawke would be more tolerable than some prospects he's had. At least they'd laugh in their misery and have affairs of their own to compensate.]
Your father isn't the only believer, I have some decent forms under my belt...so I guess we'll have to get sticky. Are we even having this conversation? [What is this conversation!]

[Okay, she gets respect as Champion or even before just for her abilities to get things done but that's not really the same as treating her as a lady. No one asks her to dance or anything like that. Thankfully, if you ask.]
Oh, you know, that general Kirkwall grit and grim. It certainly doesn't come off in a bath as easily as you would hope. And yes, we are having this conversation! About being sticky and poking at each other with long sticks.
[It's great.]
