Any language is charged around you. Sorry, were you expecting stumbling and stammering to correct some naively chosen words?
Missed your last shot on that.
[ Why she'd chosen to be genuine is beyond him, even if pissing her off repeatedly has honestly been unintentional. Or had been, until it set him back into irritability that just has him snapping back rather than attempting to resolve the situation. ]
[ Yes, actually, that's exactly what she might have expected. She doesn't know about the fact that he experienced more of his memories from home when he went into cryo, doesn't know he remembers destroying her now. He's not acting the way she's come to understand that he acts. This whole situation is confounding her.
What it's solidified, though, is that it's a mistake to act like the memories he received from Epsilon have created any kind of a connection between them. It's not relevant that he saw those memories unwillingly—to her, now, he's like an unrepentant eavesdropper who intends to use his knowledge to irritate and upset her.
So what she sends back can be interpreted more like a threat than anything else. ]
Maybe I will see if you can use a tattoo gun to kill a man.
[ There may have been some sort of strange connection between them before because of the memories, though it's probable that it wouldn't have been healthy to engage it in any way. He still fully feels that connection whether she does or doesn't, except now it does nothing but anger him simply for existing.
Maybe it's resulted a little in lashing out unnecessarily. But he doesn't care, he doesn't want her to think of him as someone she can go talk to about her shit just because he knows so much of it after being subjected to it all against his will. He's not some shoulder to lean on just because he has her boyfriend's and her inspiration's boyfriend's memories.
He'd rather be enemies than be that. Especially when dealing with her draws out thoughts and emotions that he does not want to deal with. ]
[ She had found this option in the texting menu some time ago and figures this is the best time to break it out. It's not that she's too angry to type something coherent, it's that answering with words is more effort than it's worth. ]
[ For a while, he very heavily considers sending a reply to that, but ultimately decides against it. It's pointless, and a tiny middle finger seems about as good a place to leave this little talk as any.
Grumbling something to himself about the emoji being a "mature" response (because he's clearly one to talk), he closes out of the text option of his MID and does as Texas requested: leaves her alone. ]

I'd like to see you try.

[ Seriously, she just implied she was threatening to kill him and he responds with playground taunting. ]
Listen, Washington. Don't talk to me again.
text;
Putting your foot down now?
[ Buuuut he knows better than to take taunting too far with Tex. ]
Fine. Gladly. Surprised you didn't ban me sooner considering that grudge you've been carrying this whole time.
[ Then again, maybe he doesn't. Casually mentioning her hating on him for killing her back home as a grudge is probably unwise. ]
