Video

[ Though he's keyed up the MID for video, Adrien is ignoring the screen and looking down at an old fashion pad of paper, upon which he's making notes. ]

I'm getting the impression that this crew is a little [ what's the word he wants here? ] accident prone. [ You know, just giant sentient beings crashing through walls, bullets and some of the other chaos he's witnessed since arriving. ]

As such I'm going to take our current opportunity to bolster the MedBay's supplies; just because it never hurts to be over stocked.

[ He's confident they can find nooks and crannies to stuff shit in, as necessary. ]

That brings me to two questions.

Are there any specific medical needs anyone requires that we can try to bring on board? Provided it's available.

And is anyone willing to help me coordinate getting all this back up to the Moira?

[ Because after having lugged his own personal collection of goodies back off the planet, Adrien found that transport was a bit of a challenge. ]

[She would be very glad of that.]

I also got some sex ed books for the library dealing with a variety of species and suggested safety tips.

[Sense the note of exasperation in knowing how truly and utterly necessary this is.]

A little while back an excitable young man from World War II era earth discovered that there was such a thing as a "flavored condom" so there's already a plentiful supply of various sorts of contraceptives and prophylactics.

At least that's one less thing you'll have to ask about.

I could use some more viral research equipment.

I solved my problem from the other day, but slightly too late.

There were two clones on board, along with their "father", their genetic donor. From what I gathered, the clones were created against his will. I needed to fix a purposeful lifespan limitation with their genes- [and oh does she sound angry that that even existed] -and he was kind enough to donate his own genetic material to help fix it. But to do it I had to get past a virus planted in one meant to target his DNA.

It was supposedly dormant but the original donor managed to catch it.

He had a heart attack ten minutes after I found a cure. I want to do my best to find some more quickly but I need some better diagnostic equipment. Which may come down to finding raw parts for the ship's own diagnostic teams.

I got the stuff to make some more surgical drones. That's something.

It's not an AI exactly. They work as an extra limb.

Also it can wield a laser scalpel.

Think of it as something that can reach places you normally couldn't. Humans would have to use a headset but it works well enough with them, too.

[She just mashes an implant right into her skin. Though sometimes that ability is more of a woe than a benefit.]

Precursor to a what?

[She has to ask. Obligatory.]

Yeah, I have enough.

Supply wise we should be good.

But I'll talk to you more about those surgical drones later. I heard about one of your cases where it could turn out useful.

I absolutely am.

[She's very, very irritated that happened. She needs to be able to catch these things, at least in examining details of scans later.]

We have to rely on people not sneaking out mid scan. That's one of the biggest ones. Other than that, the Med Bay's file system hooks up to our MIDs.

Other than that this is the first intake problem we've had. Other than, like I mentioned, people deciding that they don't want to be in there anymore.
