[This has been a courtesy shitposting interlude.]

Accurate, thank you very much. I worked my bloody fingers off and barely slept. It's why I sleep so much now.

[Beauty sleep, so good, so necessary.

Even if it's really a few hours on some days.]

From college?

[More curious than anything, really. She knows many a brilliant person whose education was little more than the streets and their own experiments.]

[Isha hums thoughtfully.]

It's not all that uncommon. I know many people who've done the same.

[Herself, namely. She ran off, got put back into the system, and kept running off even after she was adopted. High aspirations, low actualities. She imagines that may be why so many don't see her coming.]

Besides, I wouldn't be half as good as I am now if I didn't take a shine to the underbelly of London.

[She offers him a hint of a smile, nearly mistakable for the beginnings of a smirk. No, she couldn't say she learned everything while she hung out in the streets, but the hardest lessons just happened to be when she was away from the riches of the world. It's where she learned human nature best: in person, on the streets.]

[Maybe not, but she was running amok at age six for a good six months. Not alone, of course, Jeramie and... well.

Best not to think back, not to the better days.]

If it hasn't been demolished by corporate gain or simply time, of course.

Depends on your definition of old. Old with pedigree and history stays. Old that's useless and dreadful gets demolished. Gentrification, to put it simply.

That is beside the point. If it was of historical use and substance, it stays. Just because something has pedigree doesn't mean it's always beautiful. If they can ruin something to put in its place something better, they will. Money talks more than history.

When you can't expand and claim new territory, you simply reclaim the old and build up instead of out. No one's going to miss a 35 year old building that's gone out of style and maintenance, according to contractors. Or even 135, for that matter.
diamondhack: (i will strangle you)

Just because it happens doesn't mean I agree with it. Some of it can't be saved, it's more expensive to repair it than to destroy it, but... some things are worth trying.
diamondhack: (trying to trick me?)

I am utterly and completely shocked.

[Check that smirk.]
diamondhack: most definitely (peace!)

What can I say, I have an aversion to following rules.
