video fwded to after the other Starscream's

Greetings my fellow shipmates. Since my alternate and far less charming version of me decided to place himself in your business I thought I might as well introduce myself.

My name is also Starscream. However, I'm not going to claim false responsibility over the majority of my people. I know I hold no authority over them and it would be foolish and dishonest to claim otherwise. Why my counterpart felt the need to deceive you, I have no idea. Please accept my apologies on his behalf.

With that said, it has come to my attention that former commander of 'my' faction is no longer fit for the job and I will be stepping up due to my rank in that regard. You can direct any issues concerning hostilities or problems from members of the Decepticons to me.

For those of you who don't know, look for this symbol.

[He'll point to the purple symbol on his wings.]

Those of my species with a different symbol, usually red, are Autobots and they have their own commander though I am not sure who exactly would be in charge of them on this ship. Usually they follow someone by the name of Optimus Prime. In his absence they seem to be a little disorganized if not embarrassing. I'm going to make a guess that Bumblebee will be the one you want to go to for them, but again I don't know exactly. This is just an assumption based upon what I've observed intelligence wise.

Ah, I think that's it. Thank you for your time.

Starscream out.

Those don't exist where you're from? Can't say that's a bad thing.

To put it simply, a mnemosurgeon is a neuroscientist who specializes in memory. A practitioner of mnemosurgery is able to read or even alter the memories of their patients, or victims, depending on how you want to look at it. They jam these needles that come out of their fingers into the back of your neck to establish a connection. Needless to say, it's a very invasive and, from what I've heard, often unpleasant process.

Empurata was a twisted means of punishing those who the Senate labeled as "criminals" back before the war. They would mutilate the victims by removing their head and hands, and- well. Just look at Whirl if you want to see the end results of that.

When I say criminals, I mean the only "crime" a lot of these people had committed was how they were created. Most people who were forged were generally safe, but if you were constructed cold there was a good chance you were going to literally lose your head if you made too much of a fuss.

Oh, no. Our Senate was far more cruel. They wanted their victims to be seen, as a warning to anyone else who might get it in their minds to cross them.

As for Shockwave, he was actually a senator back in the day, but his views didn't line up with the rest of the Senate's. As you can imagine, they weren't too happy with him. Not only was he subjected to Empurata, but they used mnemosurgery to rewrite his brain. They completely removed his emotions, thinking he'd be easier to reel in. Long story short, they couldn't have been more wrong.

It was a pretty sick world back then, needless to say.

We all know how much you love pushing buttons, right.

Anyway, to put it simply, someone who was "forged" was created through what was considered, at least by the religious nutcases, to be the only natural process. Sparks were harvested from natural hot spots created by Vector Sigma on the surface of Cybertron or it's moons, and the body was forged from the base substance the spark was pulled from. The spark of someone who was constructed cold was created by the Matrix of Leadership and then slapped into a pre-constructed body. There's a lot of science involved, but that's never really been my strongest point.

It was a big enough deal that we went to war over it. There were a few other reasons as well, but in the end it all came down to the oppressed being sick of oppression.

Nice that you have something to brag about, at least.

Tch. what government doesn't hide things from people anymore?

Wait, you mean you were deliberately built for violence, or am I missing something?

Sounds like the Autobots were at quite the disadvantage.
iseedeadbees: (you straight trippin)

[personal profile] iseedeadbees 2016-06-13 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
You didn't have flying Autobots? That little Bumblebee knock-off said the same thing.
iseedeadbees: (oh huzzah)

Can't say my Megatron really pulled anything like that. There were uses for land and sea based alt-modes just as much as there were for flyers.

[personal profile] iseedeadbees 2016-06-13 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
Ah hah, I thought you meant a full reformat. My Megatron definitely didn't do that.
iseedeadbees: (oooh uh oh ooooh no)

[personal profile] iseedeadbees 2016-06-13 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
The Autobot thing is actually a pretty recent change. As for what he's done, it might be quicker to list off what he never got around to trying.

No on the first two, but it seemed like every time they met on the battle field, Metagron and Optimus were trying to persuade each other to join their side. Mostly in the early days, but either way.
