I wouldn't think so. I've slept in other rooms, engineering... There's no curfew or anything.

But it wouldn't matter if you just changed rooms. It's not a big deal.

But changing rooms is public domain, you're harder to pin down if they don't actually know where you really are sleeping.

That's...true. But your room is the only one on the ship you can lock people out of. If you start sleeping in the cargo bay or something, anybody could catch you unawares.

Tactically that is sound, if there isn't the fact one shares a room with one or more persons that may grant access as well.


I may also wish to avoid certain aspects on this ship that giving a clear indication of where I could be found and thus ambushed upon leaving isn't an ideal situation.

[For once she's not even talking about a violent encounter in this.]

That's probably not as uncommon on board as you might think.

I don't know how much anybody's explained to you, but lots of us have had issues with people we've known when we came on board, one way or another.

Or thought we knew.

Most of what I've learned has been whatever was picked up. Haven't exactly stopped long enough for anyone to give a guided history lesson of this place.


Your explanation cements that avoiding potential conflict by my avoidance of assigned rooms may be my best bet right now until things settle down.

I didn't exactly explain things perfectly there - if you want I can tell you everything we know. I've been here since this started.

And I can suggest a couple of places to sleep. Not on this, if you're trying to be private.

If it won't be too much of a problem. Knowing what sort of problems you might walk into on accident would help.


It's not exactly a private matter, and more just wanting to avoid too many places that are high traffic area.
