[Eggsy had woken up this morning feeling pretty good considering everything. And that everything being that he was stuck on a space ship until that ship took him home or something like that. It wasn't the worst thing ever. He'd met some good people, some good looking people, and he was in outer fucking space.
He'd gone out to get the post, pressing his thumb to his postbox and pulling out a mask that frankly looked pretty cool. He'd put it on, taken it off, and put it in his room. No big deal.
Then as he's leaving, he stops in the middle of his room, thinking about how much he was missing JB, his pug, and that's when he felt weird. His eyes felt strange and he had sudden vertigo. Everything goes dark.
When he opens his eyes again he knows somethings off. For own thing, he's smaller, his weight spread out differently, and when he looks down at the MID (which is still somehow fucking attached) it's not on his arm, but on a dogs paw. His paw. There aren't any mirrors in his room and he starts to panic, thinking change back, change back now, and he fucking does. Suddenly he's him again, and he's not really sure what's going on.
But, he wouldn't be him if he didn't think that'd it'd be awesome to be a dog for a bit, so he tries to turn and he does. He runs around his room, then gets distracted by the MID and tries to gnaw it off, accidentally turning on the video. The ship gets a nice view of this cute fucker chewing on the MID and then this text:

Turn back to his human-self or let this guy pet him. But fuck he really wants the guy to pet him. Maybe pick him up and hold him for a bit. It will all bother him later, but right now this guy looks friendly and he needs do to this.
Eggsy slinks forward, closer and closer until he's at Bruce's feet, laying on his belly and looking up at him.]
no subject
He can't help but grin a little lopsidedly at that. Dogs, all the same. Of course Bruce is prompt then, crouching next to the pup and reaching over to pet him, fingers curling a little so he scratches him too. ]
Good boy. [ He tries to search for a collar or a nameplate somewhere, even checking on the MID. ] So what do I call you, hm?
no subject
Eggsy's head jerks up when he asks what to call him, and he barks, thinking that will work. It doesn't. Then he sort of just nuzzles up against Bruce's hand, giving up, and frankly not caring what Bruce calls him.]
no subject
Not that it matters right now, all things considered. The animal seems to be on his own, and Bruce isn't all that sure that it's safe to let him wander around like this. Maybe he can convince the pup to stick around with him for a little while. ]
Alright. How about... Bob. It's a short for my first name. [ He wouldn't share this with a person, but a dog? Doesn't really matter much. As far as he's aware, the pup can't understand him. ] How does that sound? Bob? You want something to eat? [ A pause, then he tries for a simpler word. ] Treat?
no subject
His head flicks to the side at the name, and then he yelps, enthusiastically licking Bruce's fingers to show he likes that name.
When Bruce asks if he wants a treat, he bounds forward, spinning in little circles and bumping into the man a few times. He can't seem to help himself, but he's really excited to be getting treats and pets.]
no subject
He has no way to know that the dog can understand him, but he chooses to take that bark as a positive response anyway. Smiling, he pats the dog's head a few more times, chuckling a little when the pup bumps against him in his expression enthusiasm. ]
I see you know that word, at least. [ He moves to stand up then, beckoning for Bob to follow after. ] Come on, boy.
no subject
Like he's wanted. Nobody's judging him and finding him lacking. This guy named him, is going to feed him, and wants him around. He's not used to that and he kind of doesn't want that to stop.
So he doesn't change back. He stretches out his small dog body and follows after the man, sort of hop running to catch up, tongue lolling out his mouth. He barks when he's close enough, then falls in line beside the man, keeping pace.]

Bruce walks at a slow pace, to make sure the pup can keep up, especially with those tiny little legs. He heads out to the mess hall, where he can get them both something to eat - not quite sure what exactly is safe to give a pug, but some cooked meat and rice should be fine. Or anything that looks somewhat like it, here on board.
Heading over to the buffet, he gets a plateful of food, then a smaller bowl to give Bob some of it, along with some water before looking for a seat on one of the tables. He picks at a few of the pieces of meat, getting a taste before passing them onto the bowl, then he sets it down on the floor. ] Here, boy.
no subject
He trots along, ears perked up and on guard, and if someone walks too close to Bruce, well, he can't help it if he whines a little in his throat to let them know that he's got company and doesn't need anymore right now.
The food, the scent of it, hits his nose as soon as they enter the room and Eggsy tongue falls out of his mouth, huffing and snorting to get Bruce's attention. He sits at the man's feet on his hind legs, head up, and waiting. It's only two seconds after the bowl hits the floor that Eggsy shoves his face into it, making a mess because he's never eaten while in a dog body before.]
no subject
Food's not going anywhere, you know? You don't need to rush.
[ He's obviously not expecting the dog to understand, neither does he think he will calm down or stop, not until at least he eats most of the meat or starts getting full. He doesn't push him away from the bowl, though he keeps an attentive eye just to make sure he doesn't choke in his excitement, while he turns to his own plate and starts eating the food there, at a far calmer pace. ]

Eggsy suddenly feels very constricted, like he should turn back before something happens to him like this. He sits back on his haunches, head tilted up towards Bruce. He's curious how the man might react if he turns back now, cause he really kind of likes Bruce, and wouldn't want to ruin this weird thing they've got going on.
So he just watches him eat, like a creep. Indecisive.]
no subject
Grabbing his glass, he sets it down on the floor too, thinking that the dog's thirsty. Well, either that or he just doesn't want anything, but Bruce gives him that option anyway, just in case. ]
no subject
Look, bruv, I can explain. Um, well, actually I can't, but sort of, yeah?
[He stays still, doesn't want to give the guy too much of a fright.]
Like I don't know how I'm doing this, just that I can all the sudden.
no subject
Not that his focus is on that. As he straightens up, he's already directing his attention to his heart rate, the first few words out of Eggsy's mouth all but ignored until he wills his heart to calm down from the brief fright. ]
People have... been doing strange things lately. [ But at least a shapeshifter is better than a mindreader. ] It would've been better if you hadn't scared me like that, though.
no subject
It just happened. I don't even know. I should've changed back, yeah? But you were s'nice and I couldn't make myself.
[Eggsy frowns, then his eyes flick up.]
Y'gotta weak heart? Did I hurt ya?
no subject
[ As if to make that clear, he looks up to the young man, offering him a small smile. The question that follows amuses him in a rather bittersweet way, though, and he shakes his head. ]
No, nothing wrong with my heart. Don't worry. But you can take a seat-- [ Not on the floor, and he gestures to the chair across from him just to make that clear. ] As a person, this time around?
no subject
[He sits down across from where Bruce is sitting, slumped back with his hands shoved deep in his pockets.]
I feel like a wanker, bruv.
no subject
[ He's fine now - he doubts it'd have really triggered a transformation anyway, but the instinct to react is always there. ]
Forget about it. I'm not mad. [ It's all but forgotten by now. As long as the guy doesn't pull that stunt on him again. ] I'm guessing Bob isn't your actual name, though?
no subject
[He grins a little when Bruce mentions Bob.]
I've gotta say, bruv, that you treat animals really well. I mean, like, you didn't act like I was inconveniencin' you or anythin' and you fed me.
S'nice you did that, yeah?
no subject
[ No, not Bob. Nor Robert. That's still his first name, but obviously not the one he goes by. ]
Ah... no, I-- I like dogs. I get along with them better than I do people, usually anyway. They tend to like me more than people do, too.
no subject
[He likes dogs, too. Any animal, really, and he appreciated Bruce's finer treatment of them.]
That's cause their so smart. People don't give 'em enough credit. An animal will love you forever and be the most loyal if you treat 'em right. Just think of me as a dog, then.
[Eggsy grimaces, rolling his eyes at himself.]
Not what I meant, exactly. Just that I think we'll get along.
no subject
[ Smart dogs, at least. Most others will like just about anyone who gives them treats, ear scratches and attention. He grins awkwardly at the last remark, dropping his head to look down at his own plate. ]
Yeah, I know. It'd be a little weird if you expected me to pet you.
no subject
You's got jokes, yeah?
[Which really pleased Eggsy.]
Nah, you ain't gotta pet me. Can if you want, but it ain't somethin' I'd ask for.
no subject
[ A little weird, actually, at least to Bruce. But the guy's so nice and cheerful he doesn't really mind him saying that much at all. ]
And thanks. Most people don't think I'm that funny.
[ Mostly because he tends to make lame and nerdy jokes. (Well, they're funny to him.) ]
no subject
Eh, everyone's funny in their own way, yeah? Just gotta be open to it.
[He leans forward in his seat, studying Bruce.]
You like it here? On the ship, I mean.
no subject
It's not where I'd choose to be. But... it is impressive. There's a lot for me to learn, at least. [ Curious mind like his, it'll keep him busy for a very long time. ] What about you?
no subject
[Eggsy looks around him, sizing the place up.]
Miss home, I guess. Me mum and sis. My pup. [He sighs softly, shrugging because there's nothing he can do about it.]
no subject
[ From all the kinds that Bruce has seen in sci-fi in his world, this is actually far from the worst option.
He smiles a little at the words, and the sentiment. ] Is that why you turned into the dog?
no subject
[Eggsy grins sheepishly, still feeling guilty over that.]
Still don't know how it happened, but can't say it ain't fun.
no subject
[ At least Bruce didn't reveal too much about himself - his first name is already more than enough. ]
As long as you let people know somehow, you'll be fine. People just... don't like feeling like you've tricked them, even if you don't do it on purpose.
