Video

[Settling on her bed, Daisy sat cross legged on her bed before hitting the video function on her MID.]

Okay-

[Daisy looked to make sure she was live before continuing.]

I'm Daisy Johnson, freshly kidnapped from Earth.

[And clearly not at all bitter about it. Not at all.]

I came across someone today, who, back home basically destroyed New York City. He goes by the name Loki. I don't actually have a picture of him, which, would be really helpful right now...

It doesn't matter, you just need to know that he is extremely dangerous. He's killed a lot of people and he has powers to aid in tricking you. You may think you're safe around him, but you're not. Maybe some people would be afraid to call him out. I'm not. If you ever come across him, contact me.

Allow me to explain something to you. You are a stranger on this ship, making accusations about another stranger. Unfounded accusations that you cannot substantiate, because we are in the depths of space far away from any version of Earth. Whatever your intentions, and regardless of how true what you say may be, you have thrown the situation into the court of public opinion with no subtlety and no way of making your case against him. What in Randac's name did you imagine was going to happen?

The Inhumans do not have gods, so the Asgardians usually have the sense to leave us alone. That doesn't mean I am unaware of how dangerous the bear you're trying to poke can be. Or how petty and vengeful. You have now given him the exact opportunity you would never want him to have— a chance to garner sympathy and ingratiate himself with the rest of the ship as a wounded party.

[ Your sarcasm has no effect on her. She's heard better. ]

You cannot handle Loki by simply setting fires and pointing fingers and making a scene. We cannot simply just throw him out the airlock and be on our way here. If you wanted the ship to regard him as a menace, you should have orchestrated this with subtlety. As it stands, you now look like a lunatic. And like the unstable threat you wish them to see him as, if not more so. Is he lying when he says you cannot control the quakes?

[ Quakes is more elegant than shakes. ]

We would have been better served had you waited for him to make a mistake.

[ "We". Daisy doesn't have to acknowledge Medusa, or her kingdom, for Medusa to feel responsible. Or for Medusa to be willing to back her. ]

I have spent decades navigating the various factions in my universe, Daisy. I know Thor well. I think he would agree with me when I say that it is only a matter of time before Loki begins to scheme. But sometimes challenging him outright only gives him the ability to work more openly, and manipulate greater numbers. It is a long game with him. You have already tipped your hand, and now we will have to be cautious from here on out. If he sets himself against you, I will back you, but my ability to intervene will be limited until I can establish a position of power here.
