[Daisy looked to make sure she was live before continuing.]

I'm Daisy Johnson, freshly kidnapped from Earth.

[And clearly not at all bitter about it. Not at all.]

I came across someone today, who, back home basically destroyed New York City. He goes by the name Loki. I don't actually have a picture of him, which, would be really helpful right now...

It doesn't matter, you just need to know that he is extremely dangerous. He's killed a lot of people and he has powers to aid in tricking you. You may think you're safe around him, but you're not. Maybe some people would be afraid to call him out. I'm not. If you ever come across him, contact me.

That's not impossible, but...how could you trust it coming from him?

At least you actually understand how serious this is.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to just bump into him in an empty hallway. So I appreciate the heads-up.

[Karen sighs, offering her a small smile.]

Are you okay?

I'm fine. He couldn't get close enough to even try anything.

[She's not remotely sorry for hurting him.]

Sorry you have to be reminded of that day again.

It's okay. It's not like any of us ever really forget it. It changed everything, you know?

Yeah. That superheros actually exist outside of movies.

[clericals]

And that super-villains did too.

Yeah. Those too.

[Karen takes a deep breath, because being down and morose is not really her style.]

But it's okay. The good guys won then, and if something should go wrong, they'll win here too.

[Daisy's not convinced of that, and it's pretty obvious by her voice she isn't.]
