Something in small bits to start, I'd guess. I've never tried to take care of them, but I have seen them in action.

My best advice is to try a few things and see what they like. You should be able to give them any food. Or hide your sweets.

Nothing weirder than any other sort of animal. Definitely keep them, then. Show them they're wrong.
