[Has it? Has it really? Well to him, time means everything. Especially since he doesn't sleep. The fact that he hasn't unveiled this sooner is a downright tragedy!!

Not that he could be blamed. Hell, he's just gotten out of the medbay a handful of days ago. His health isn't yet back to 100%, but he really isn't one for taking additional breaks.]

The matter I bring to you is of the utmost importance, I assure you! It's taken me a while to have everything arranged, especially in the face of some adversity, but finally it's finished!! Have a look at what I've been working on, darlings!

[The MID display moves from the handsome robot's face and out towards a dimly lit room with simplistic lounge furniture. It doesn't look like anything all that special. The clack of Mettaton's boots sounds loudly against the hard floor as he walks towards one of three doors which can be seen if one looks at the moving feed close enough, but the mystery doesn't last long.

The robot opens the door to reveal a...modest film set?]

Surprise~! Not the biggest setup I've worked with, but it will do. I received recording and filming equipment in the mail last month and I've been arranging this during the late hours. It seemed a good idea, even if it took a while! At any rate, this is just one of four rooms, the other two are for recording and editing, and you've already seen the lounge! Please feel free to use these resources at your leisure!! I hope that you all create wonderful things~

I only request that you treat the equipment delicately! We wouldn't want to damage such lovely gifts!! If you wish to borrow any equipment, let me know, as I'd prefer to keep track of it.

Oh, also! I have two large televisions to install, but a little audience participation never hurts when it comes to something like this. Tell me, lovelies, where would you find a television convenient?

A television is a lovely piece of machinery through which you can view broadcast content! Why go to a play when someone can record it and show it on a TV?

Back home, we usually had holotransmitters in cantinas. I guess you could put one in the cafe and the mess hall?

I guess it's the same!! I'm starting to come around to the fact that not everyone uses the same name for things from different places. If nothing else, rest assured that I do know how it works and I have lots of big plans.

Oh, I have so many plans! I can't even begin to list everything I intend to bring, but of course I will do my best!!

For now, I'm going to try and set up the two TVs I have and link them to the broadcast hub, then I'm going to start working on content!! I have decided that the best initial step would be to do basic talkshows without much audience participation, just to see who might be interested. Then I want to create more interactive content, like maybe quiz shows and stage-type plays! For the stage plays, I won't really need to record them, just find a room where we can build small sets and practice lines!!

This is only a fraction of my ideas, but I'd keep you hear all day if I went on about everything I think about, sweetheart~!

Hmm... you know, there's a lot of different technology on this ship, from whole different galaxies. You could do segments on how it all works. You could even do a special on what it's like to be a droid on your planet, that sort of thing.

[Mostly, Luke wants Car Talk™ in space, but he figures it'd be more beneficial to everyone if the scope was widened. Also, he is going to take a wild shot in the dark and assume Mettaton will appreciate the idea of doing a show on himself.]

Of course, I am going to headline my own segment, as no one knows me better than me!!

[To be fair, if Alphys was here, she'd know him better from the inside than he knew himself. But she isn't! So it's all him, baby!!

[The nervousness, if he notices, doesn't prompt a reaction from Mettaton. He's dealt with varying levels of stage fright from his guests and usually copes with it spectacularly. He's just that good at what he does!]

It's for entertainment purposes!! I suppose it could be for educational purposes too, if someone was so inclined...but basically you can put anything on TV that you want!

Oh honey, nobody is obligated to watch!! And the effort is of course no problem! I don't sleep, I have plenty of time to work and also entertain! It's great that my job title doesn't make those two mutually exclusive!

Besides, after all the heavy stuff that's gone on, I'm sure the crew need a nice distraction! I, of course, am very willing to offer that distraction!

It's a filming set! You can use the green screen to project special effects during post-production!! A perfect blend of special AND practical effects really does make the show! Or movie! Or whatever you end up filming for!

It's so lovely, having everyone watch you, admire you, and depend on you for their entertainment. On the same token, I always try to work within people's interests! You know, do a cooking show here, a musical there, and my absolute favorite are game shows!!

Oh, I mean like doing activities! Usually fun activities that involve teamwork and some strangely colored joke substance being thrown on the contestants. That's the extent of that kind of participation, and don't worry, you don't have to do quizzes! It's just another type of game show!!

[Mettaton seems pleased that he's not being asked to sing so much as demanded. Don't threaten him with a good time, Girl.]

[He does. He sings this song actually, and he's not half-bad either!! Even if the lyrics don't make sense to someone outside of the situation, it's still not a bad display of talent.]

[It's slow and melodic and nothing like the loud, angry noise she's used to from the pop-up bands in the Zones. But her boys taught her to appreciate music for what it was and it's the first time in a long while she's heard any sing. She's pleased, more of the experience than the odd lyrics or the sound.]

You have a nice voice. Ain't really used to something so slow but I bet ya can do real good with the boomin' stuff if ya try. [She's trying to be sincere.] Just gotta add a lotta guitars and a drum beat. You'll be as good as the bands back home in no time.
