For those who knew them: Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, Clark Kent, Scott Lang and Foggy Nelson are gone.
[ Bruce doesn't know whether or not to leave it at that. He wants to keep it a brief announcement, almost detached, but in the process he's making it fairly obvious that some of these people leaving has affected him a lot. But then again, that's why he went with text, so he can avoid any slip of his expression or tone of voice that might betray just how upset he is.
He doesn't really want to talk about it. Or maybe he does, but he doesn't know with whom, or how to bring it up. It's not like he's ever been the best at expressing himself.
Best to just leave it at that. Short and... not really sweet, no. ]
That's it.
(( ooc: forward-dated a couple of days just to avoid overlapping recent drop notices! ))

It's not that implausible, if you think about it. I was put back to the exact same point in time I was taken from, so it could've very well been done the other way around too. Whatever did this, it just sent me away and brought me back to the same place and time —the cryo unit, in this case. From a linear point of view, I might have not even been gone from the ship at all.

Still, this all provides some pretty interesting food for thought. With all this worry of screwing up timelines, maybe that's not such a big concern after all. ]
Do you think that's how it would happen when we eventually get back? That we'll be at the same point in time that we left from?

It's what I think, yes. I also think we'll have our memories wiped, or more accurately, we'll have our minds reset to the point in time we were taken from. I can't be sure of any of this, though, it's just speculation at this point. It probably will never be anything but speculation.

My own personal experience has left me feeling a little surer of this theory too. But like I said, it could just be coincidence. All of this is too uncertain.

[ But it does have the unfortunate side effect of making everything here feel pretty pointless. ]

[ Said in a very detached way despite it being a somewhat upsetting notion. Well, to most people anyway. ]

You're moving a little outside of my paygrade here.
If you're right, though, it reinforces that the only reason we're on this ship is for the captains' use. We're just warm bodies to help their ship keep moving. Us being here doesn't have anything to do with us. It's all for them.
[ Which he'd more or less figured already, but not even getting to keep their memories really digs the point in. ]

I never once thought any of this had anything to do with us. I'm not sure it has anything to do with them either, at least not directly. But it's definitely as if the ship itself is looking to serve them most of all, not us. Otherwise we'd have never been plucked out of our own lives and brought here.
[ Bruce can't really bring himself to complain now. He's met someone special here, someone he might've not met back home, and even if his memories of all this might fade, he'll still enjoy the few good things he has in this place for as long as he can. ]

[ Way to make him miss his bestie, Bruce. ]
Yeah, I've heard that the captains basically got this job forced on them too. Which makes you wonder who forced it on them, and why they agreed to it.
[ Snake has met some decent people here, but he sees that as one good point in an overall bad situation. ]

It's probably a pointless thought, but it might be better that the ship at least is headed somewhere, even if we might not be entirely sure where. Beats staying still.
[ Or maybe it's just a matter of perspective, or a need to feel some kind of purpose. Bruce doesn't honestly believe that traveling across this universe will take them any closer to their respective ones— if anything, going back might make more of a difference in that aspect. But considering that's just a theory based on sci-fi shows, he'll keep it to himself for now. ]

So if you're right about all this and people are really going home, then I guess we should consider it a good thing when they disappear.

[ And well, what Bruce should feel has only so much weight when he misses people, when he knows his life on board the Moira would be so much better with them here too. He's perfectly aware that it's a selfish sentiment, but he's never claimed to be perfect. ]

[ Then again, some of these people they might never get the chance to see again, if they're from different worlds. Snake realizes that isn't the easiest pill to swallow. The solution would be to not get attached in the first place, but Snake has learned time and again how that isn't always doable. ]
