For those who knew them: Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, Clark Kent, Scott Lang and Foggy Nelson are gone.
[ Bruce doesn't know whether or not to leave it at that. He wants to keep it a brief announcement, almost detached, but in the process he's making it fairly obvious that some of these people leaving has affected him a lot. But then again, that's why he went with text, so he can avoid any slip of his expression or tone of voice that might betray just how upset he is.
He doesn't really want to talk about it. Or maybe he does, but he doesn't know with whom, or how to bring it up. It's not like he's ever been the best at expressing himself.
Best to just leave it at that. Short and... not really sweet, no. ]

That's what we've been trying to do. There's a big group of people trying to figure out how the Ingress works, I confess I'm not too involved with it but I've joined them a few times. It's still complicated, though. This kind of technology is completely unknown to all of us, so it might take us months or even years to so much as understand it, let alone know how to manipulate it safely.

I don't like it either. But I'm stuck in an alternate universe and the only people I know are here, the only place where I feel even a modicum of safety is here. I'm not sure what other alternative you're proposing— assuming you are.

yeah well everyone i know is from a completely different time and doesn't know me or a murderer so
safe isn't really an option for me
sometimes the best way to figure something out is to take it apart
but i doubt anyone is going to agree with me and it's too big a job to do on my own as quickly as i need

You're right, we haven't figured out much. Like I said, it's something new and unfamiliar and it might take us months or years to truly understand it.
So far I can tell you it seems to be powered by magic as much as it is by science, and it has the ability to create wormholes of various sizes, distances, and energy levels.
If you want to do that, I won't be the one stopping you, not unless something starts to go wrong. But I'm not going to help you either.
But who knows, if you feel like that then maybe there are other people on board willing to join you. So long as you know what you're doing and don't somehow blow up this ship, because if there's a risk of that happening then I will stop you.

It doesn't, but who knows what kind of power that system really has? For all we know an overload could end up in an explosion. Or a power failure. [ He probably has a whole list of things that could go horribly wrong. He's used to it by now. ]

And he's not a fan of the expression 'in charge', but... ] I'm the chief science officer, yes. I don't run everything on the Moira, not by a long shot, but I do monitor everything, both inside and outside of the ship, including its surrounding areas.
