....we gotta get it out......[The feed is knocked on accidentally to show a writhing, sweating Venom Snake clutching at the sheets of his bed obviously having some sort of nightmare. His breathing is ragged and his words are spilling uncontrollably from his lips, as he battles in his dream.]

.....no time....no time for anaesthetic....we-we have to open her now......

[More crying out in pain. What was he dreaming about? He is in pain, it's all over his face, as he winced during a bad scene in the dream.]

...Boss!...b-breathing's stable.....no active....no active bleeding.....she's clean I'm closing her up......

[Snake grabbed his sheet and let out another ragged cry of pain. Ripping the sheet clean off the bed, beads of sweat on his brow.]

.....hold her steady....got to be a- continuous suture....

...n-no! Huey...no! you bastard.....

[Snake ripped the bed sheets in two, as he eyes snapped open and a silent scream left his lips. He awoke to the sound of DD barking loudly, obviously upset at seeing his master having a nightmare. He jumped onto the bed and began licking at Snake's face. What the hell? He swallowed hard, his chest rising and falling rapidly. His dream felt real. Too real. He wasn't aboard the helicopter now and Paz was no longer there. Big Boss was there neither. Kaz, Chico.....everyone gone. He was aboard the Moira. A nightmare. Another flashback. He wiped his forehead and felt sweat there. How long would these dreams effect him? He petted DD and tried to reassure him. Damn.]

[Liquid hadn't exactly expected that from Venom when he'd opened the video. He isn't sure what's going on at first, but eventually it becomes clear he's having some serious nightmares. And it doesn't look like he notices the MID's on.]

[It'd be rude not to try and get his attention, and even the ever-angry Liquid Snake isn't going to just let him stay like that.]

[Snake nearly jumped out of his skin when he saw Liquid's features appear on his MID and then his voice. What the hell? Had he somehow hit it on during his sleep. He felt rather lethargic right now and confused. DD's warm tongue had soothed him somewhat but the memories of the nightmare were still there.]

Liquid? Damn. It wasn't supposed to be on.

Yeah, I figured as much. People don't normally turn these things on and start shouting at them like that.

[Normally. Liquid had considered it a few times, but he'd at least reined in his complaining a bit.]

Apart from probably giving most of the ship a heart attack, everything going alright there? That didn't sound so good.

Had a nightmare. [To be honest he didn't want to talk about it much. The memories still stang and they were traumatic ones. At least Liquid wanted to help.]

[Helping Venom wouldn't normally be on his to do list, even if he didn't exactly hate him as much as he'd used to, but he was here so he might as well talk to him.]

Pasts have a bit of a nasty way of doing that. [He'd never want to talk about it, but there had been times when he'd woken up screaming from dreams where he was back in the Middle East.] You going to be okay, then, at least?

[Practically yelled. He wasn't there for some of this. Came in after the efforts to save Paz. But he knows what it's about.]

[Niko hears Venom being noisy and is rattled out of his own sleep. The fun thing is about being in a room with other guys used to war trauma is that they all have their bad dreams.]

[So Niko blearily gets up and oozes his way out of his weird stupid egg-bed with a grunt. Then hobbles sleepily over and checks Venom's weird stupid egg-bed to make sure he's okay and didn't suddenly bang his head and get his horn stuck in anything or something like that.]

[Alright. Venom's talking to people now and sounds awake enough.]

[Thumbs up. Niko's going to go back to bed now.]

[Snake is snapped out of his stupor to the sound of Kaz's voice. It felt real not like all muffled in the dream. Nightmare. That's what it was. He shuddered in his cold sweat and brought the MID to his face.]

Kaz? I'm....ok. I think. Just a dream.

[Snake is sat bolt upright in his bed with DD now resting on his lap licking at his face. He calmed the dog down and noticed his room mate. How could he not detect footsteps when he shared the same room with two other men. He wiped his face and sighed.]

Look. You need to go to the infirmary, see if that shrapnel is causing you more intense hallucinations and problems than usual. We're somewhere where you can be looked after, and you can't return to duty in this kind of state.

Do it for me. Go get help. Especially if it's not letting you sleep.

[Niko waves from his bed, tucked way completely inside other than the briefly visible hand.]

Does it even have a lock button? [Because having that would be really useful. It's not like he intentionally knocked it on during his sleep. Who could help it? Snake was annoyed that he'd publicly broadcast one of his nightmares over the comm.]

Yeah. Tell me about it. [He hoped he'd be ok. It was just a dream, right? Although, this one felt much more real and vivid.]

Could do with a walk though. DD's pretty upset too.

[As much as Snake hated hospitals he knew Kaz was right. Perhaps, he did need to see a shrink about it. That Doc Yewll perhaps? She seemed to know what she was doing. Or, maybe something that didn't involve prodding his horn because he was afraid of anyone touching that. Maybe something psychological instead. Hypnosis? Ocelot could help....]

I've had them before like this. Just this one was more vivid. [That was bad, right? Hell, it felt like he was back there.]

I'll do it for you, Kaz. For the men back home too. [He'd only do it because he had the fate of Diamond Dogs resting on his back. Also, he knew how much Kaz cared and would never let him down. He petted DD one more time before slipping out of his bunk standing up and sighing.]

Ok, Niko. [Snake felt so awkward right now. He'd broadcast his nightmare to his room mates and the whole ship. Shit. What would everyone think? Who cared? He couldn't help these damn dreams of his. Snake lit up his e-cigar and took a deep breath inwards.]

Thanks for looking out for me. [He was grateful. The guy could have just stayed in bed and ignored Snake's cries but no; he actually was a decent guy.]

[Prometheus chooses to wait until Venom's woken up before he speaks up. Amazingly, he doesn't sound like his usual taunting self. If anything... He sounds tired]

You're getting surprisingly good at these sorts of posts. I think the MID has it out for you... Should probably get that checked.

[Luckily his MID's been cooperating so far. The last thing he'd need would be for it to decide it was a good time to start showing everyone whatever he was doing. They don't need a broadcast of him at lunch or whatever.]

[He's not been using the MID much, trying to stay scarce after the mess he's made. But he can make an exception for someone that he sort of knows and is obviously freaked out. Still, this comes a little late to be of real use.]

[Ahab understood that Liquid just wanted to sleep. He felt bad for waking the blond and anyone else he might have pulled from their slumber accidentally. He gave DD some scratches then got up walking to the door.]

Think I'll go to the gardens with DD to think.

It keeps happening to me. Can't seem to turn it off when I want.

[Snake had a habit of switching it on or knocking on when he did want. Right now he felt like crap and needed a drink or a walk. Or both. Probably both. He gave DD a scratch behind the ears and then got up stretching.]

Might head to the bar or the gardens.
