[ With his lightsaber still broken, the person responsible now aboard, and the Moira swarming with Jedi, Kylo Ren deems it prudent to post to the ship's network anonymously.

He's not hiding. ]

I received a number of extravagant gowns in the ship's mail.

They are not my size.

[ There follows hasty video of various fetching outfits, some of them strewn carelessly over the boxes they arrived in, some of them simply dumped on the cargo bay's oil-and-who-knows-what-else-stained floor. Some of them have yet to be unpacked. ]

They may be found in the cargo bay near the decrepit excuse for a YT-1300 freighter.


OOC: So! Kylo received Padme's wardrobe and accessories in the mail. If your character is in the market for some ridiculous Natalie-Portman-sized clothes, Padme's player has given the okay for them to help themselves. They run the risk of being force choked by Anakin, BUT THAT'S ALL PART OF THE FUN, RIGHT?

Also--Kylo will leave the cargo bay pretty quickly, but if you want your character to run into him, either tag in with some actionspam or hit me up so we can plot!

[ Despite everything, the justifications and excuses he weaves for himself, he craves Anakin's attention. Mere days ago, he would have revealed his name and come forward. But after his conversation with Leia, Kylo hesitates. Remains anonymous. ]

[A friend. Hells, he looks at that and sighs at himself. But what else can he really say for it, and anonymously, there's no point in pushing...is there?

The conclusion is right there for him to draw, but he has no sense of it in the Force.

[ He genuinely wants to know, and he genuinely wants to know Anakin.

It's unfortunate, then, that most of his conversations have the tenor of an interrogation. ]

[While the sudden name to a conversation engenders a little more faith in the conversation at large, given the tone of disrespect that had started this whole affair, Anakin still isn't impressed. Or terribly trusting.]

The didn't seem to matter five minutes ago, what difference does it make?

[The response is less caustic than he expects, and it catches him off guard. For a relatively anonymous source (he still can't quite place the name to anything he recognizes, though he feels like he should be able to) all too happy to dump cargo in the hold with such dismissal, this is quite the turn-around.

And maybe that's why this own response drops the disdain. For the moment.]

[There's a "she's important" that threatens to follow, but even with the network equivalent of an introduction, it's too much information to drop carelessly. Three years of experience in hiding that from even the people he's closest to have made that inexplicably clear.]

[ In the cargo bay, Kylo Ren turns to look at the dresses. Now that he knows he can see their regality, envision his grandmother in them. How many eyes must have been drawn to her, Anakin's among them?

Amidala, he almost writes in reply. Naberrie. He could banish the man's doubts about him with a word.

But something stays his hand. He doesn't want to prove his connection to his grandfather with a bit of trivia, a name from the histories.

He wants it to be felt. Exacted, if necessary. ]

A bit of basic decency is being protective?

[Yes, Anakin, this is the equivalent of "accidentally" showing your hand. In many ways he's unaware of just how obvious his attachment to his--the senator--really is. Whether or not he's trying to hide it. He thinks he's being guarded, perhaps, but is that really so wrong?]

[If he says he'll do it, will Padmé assume the same? Over protection when the greatest crime here is a lack of respect, nothing more? Clearly, Ren won't believe him, but the point here has been made. Something happens, Anakin is the one who answers.
