[It's her first post on the network. It won't be her last. Karen slides her fingers through her hair, obviously looking for a place to start.]

Okay, does anyone feel like they've actually adjusted to all of this? I know I haven't been here for long, and even when you know for a fact that there are aliens, when you've seen them come down and make a mess out of New York City, you just never expect to be taken on board an actual spaceship. [There's a nervous little laugh at that before she takes a deep breath.] But this happened, so...

[Karen looks directly at the video and smiles.]

So I guess I'll start. Uhm...for those I haven't met, my name is Karen Page. I'm from Vermont, originally, but I moved to New York. Hell's Kitchen - I know, it sounds like a terrible place, and it can be. But there's also some really good people. I work at a law firm there. I'm not a lawyer, I'm...I make coffee and answer phones and I'm the deciding vote in things like whether or not we're having pizza or Thai food for lunch.

[And it's worth noting that the more she talks about her life, the more her face lights up.]

So, who wants to tell me more about themselves? Like where you're from and what you do there, or anything - just anything.

[Conversation always makes for the best distraction. She catches her breath.]

Uh... hypnotherapist.

[It sounds strange, he's sure, but it's actually something he's been doing for some time. And he's very good at it.]

There was a conventional therapist here, but he seems to have vanished.

[It's a little concerning that Ocelot is the only one in that field left here... even Ocelot finds it concerning.

I wouldn't have guessed that the skill would actually be of use here, but I've had a few people come to me for it already. Help with nightmares, mostly.

[Karen repeats the word softly. There's a moment where she chews on her bottom lip.]

I can totally see how that would come in handy. In fact...maybe you could help me.

You having problems with nightmares?

[Ocelot things there are probably quite a few people on board that do. More than are currently seeing him.]

If I can help, I will. I can't make you a promise it'll work. The mind is a tricky thing. But if you want me to give it a try, I'm willing to do whatever I can for you.

[Karen hesitates.]

Do I have to tell you about it or anything?

I'm afraid so, but I won't repeat whatever you tell me.

[He has no reason to spread her secrets.]

Believe me when I say you probably haven't done anything I haven't seen, heard of, or done myself. I'm not about to judge you for it.

[Karen bites her bottom lip at that. She could probably...fudge a little, even if she believes him when he says he wouldn't tell anyone.]
