002, the afternoon of the 18th
[When Robin had first received her wanted poster in the mail, she had been mortified. When she started receiving messages about it from other people, that emotion changed into one of fear, suspicion and paranoia. The first thing she'd done in response was to head down into the prison planet, away from the Moira and the crew she no longer felt safe around.
It had been more than twenty four hours since then, though , and she's since come to terms with the fact that this isn't a permanent solution. She won't be able to stay on the prison planet forever, and even if she could she certainly didn't want to. Besides the obvious fact that it's a prison, things were starting to get strange down there.
It didn't take long to realize that this isn't the sort of problem she's going to be able to run from - not yet, at least. Even if she isn't ready to board the Moira again, she needs to get out ahead of this problem. ]
This is Nico Robin.
I know some of you got my posters in the mail. I was hoping to know, how many?
[ The first step of dealing with a problem is figuring out how much of one she's dealing with, after all. Maybe if it's just one or two people, she can bribe or threaten them into keeping their mouths shut. Maybe, if she's lucky, she can prevent her face from being associated with that name.]

That is, assuming you have the power.

In the real world, there are some threats you just can't face, Chara. Not if you want to have even the slimmest chance of surviving, why is that so hard for you to understand?
Suddenly voice!
You have no idea what I have or haven't faced, Clover. The real world is a place where selfish children like you live to suffer and make other people as miserable as they possibly can. It's one where no one's actually going to care if those bounty hunters come and kill you or not.
Deal with this, or at least don't let other people see what a crybaby you really are.
Also Voice.
Hearing these things from someone who might have been a friend once hurts a little, but it isn't the first time, and it's certainly nothing new. Robin wipes her eye before responding with voice as well. She sounds a lot more composed than Chara is.]
Get your things off the Tourist, Chara. I don't want to see you aboard my boat again.
Voice
[ Scuffling, then a low static of wind as Chara leaves the room they were in.]
You can't even fly it. Why is it yours at all?
Voice
[She repeats it for emphasis.]
Because I'm the one who found it, and I'm the one who's going to take it from you if you try to keep it for yourself.
[She might be fucking terrified of the people hunting her down, but she's not even slightly scared of Chara - even with what she knows of the child's murderous history.]
voice - suddenly a mom

D-don't call me Dreemurr. That's not my name anymore!

Chara, I do not know what transpired between this young lady and yourself, but- you do not treat others like this.
no subject
[That's totally not a whine. They're outraged! And angry. They hate everyone and everything. (Since when does Toriel have the right to keep scolding them like this? Why is Chara letting her?)]
no subject
You have seen much, just as she has. Dismissing her concerns with 'kill them' does not negate her worries or possible problems. [Her tone is still parental, chiding at the not!whine coming from Chara.] Much less can violence help in a situation like this beyond feed the fire and make it worse.

It's rude to join conversations where you're not wanted!

When you are name calling other children, I will step in. I will not tolerate you or any child being mocked. Would you like it if people mocked your brother or Frisk? Talked down to them when they are frightened or worried?

[They're lower than dirt. Scum of the earth. If they cared at all about what Toriel thought then they'd be too ashamed to show their face in the light of day.]
no subject
[Chara's hardly the first person to say such things to her, after all. There's definitely at least a hint of truth to them.]
At the end of the day, though, I might not be happy but I'll still be alive. If you keep running up against people stronger than you, then eventually you won't be, Chara. The world isn't an easy place - you don't get to survive just because you want to badly enough.
[Forgive her, you two. She genuinely doesn't know.]
no subject
[Toriel will always rebuke that thought if it comes up. The sternness is gone, just something gentle.]
I simply wish for you to be safe, if not happy.
[Not Actually Replying Immediately]
[They don't send a recording. It wasn't funny, and it's already over anyway.]
no subject
[ As for letting what others say define her... Well, she's trying not to let it get to her, at least. It's hard, though.]
Anyway, I'm done with Chara, so I don't care what they have to say about me - whether it's true or not.
