The following is required reading for all personnel aboard the vessel 'Moira':

OFFICIAL EVACUATION PROCEDURES

1. When Evacuation Alarm sounds, broadcast your current position then proceed immediately to follow appropriate evacuation route as proscribed in Appendix A, B, or C.

2a. Upon reaching Primary Evacuation Point (Observation Deck), contact Evacuation Officer (Cyclonus) to note you arrival, then board an Emergency Escape Unit (EEU).

Escape units will not be launched until fully occupied, or minimum safe launch time has been reached.

2b. If access to Primary Evacuation Point is blocked, then proceed to nearest Secondary Evacuation Point (emergency escape hatch), as indicated in Appendix B. Before exiting the ship, inform Evacuation Officer of your current position and intent.

If exiting the ship with additional personnel, please maintain physical contact to provide a large target for retrieval.

2c. Personnel who are too large for the EEUs or escape hatches should proceed to the Cargo Bay by the routes outlined in Appendix C.

DO NOT proceed to the Cargo Bay otherwise, unless arrangements are made to ensure that both a pilot and a vehicle are available for evacuation purposes.

2d. If you find yourself incapable of evacuation, contact Evacuation Officer with your current location immediately.

3. Upon reaching a safe location, broadcast any hazards encountered on your route, identifying both location and type.

4. In the event of loss of appropriate atmosphere, protective equipment has been provided at all Secondary Evacuation Points, as well as other strategic locations around the ship. See Appendix D.

In addition, I wish to speak with the MID programmers aboard. I have been given permission to develop an 'emergency mode' for the MIDs, which will provide the following:
- detailed emergency alerts
- guided escape routes
- active maps that personnel may update with encountered hazards. Guided routes will be recalculated accordingly.

The following feature would be critical to maximum evacuation success, but must be voted upon by the crew:
- emergency beacon: the MID will broadcast its current location to evacuation staff while in emergency mode.

Should the MID emergency software include an emergency beacon function?

You should publish this version for the people who don't like reading.
