[ Well, if it isn't your friendly neighborhood radio host showing up on the screen for a bit of an announcement. ]

Hi everyone. For any newcomers tuning in, my name is Trish Walker and I produce a radio show here on the Moira. I would just like to ask how many of you guys used to work in the media back where you came from. Journalists, musicians, actors, you name it. I've been thinking that I'd like to get us all together so that we can combine our forces to get more content out there for the crew to enjoy.

Did you work in radio back home?

Awesome.

I did work in radio, yeah. Was a host there too.

What kind of content is typically in your radio show?

It varies depending on what's going on, but it's a mix of whatever news there are, some music, me just kind of talking about subjects I find interesting and I'd like to try to bring in more guests.

I see. What kind of subjects do you find interesting?

Politics, philosophy, art... I also just really like listening to people talk about things they are passionate about.

Couldn't you wind up giving people a platform for something unsavory? Not all passions are admirable.

I believe in free speech. People can say whatever they want, but I have the same right to tell them why they're being assholes if that's what they are.

[Yes. YES. ALL OF HIS YES. Mettaton's response is practically immediate.]

I used to do television work. Acting, hosting, musical numbers, you name it! If I don't know it, I'll learn it~

[Clearly, the robot is extremely eager to get back into showbiz.

Still, after his spiel, he clears his throat with a small, metallic cough and gets more serious.]

...So shall we consider that a submission of my deep interest?

[ Yep, that sure is a robot. Trish is never going to get used to this place.

But hey, it's an enthusiastic robot who is very excited about what she's trying to do here so she is not complaining. ]

[He can't help but be excited. This is something he knows, he lives to entertain!]

My name is Mettaton! I plan to do some original entertainment work in my free time, but other than that, I'd love to contribute to your radio show!!

Nice to meet you Mettaton! And I'm thinking that we can all work together to get all sorts of media content out to the crew, so if you want any help with your original stuff just let me know if there's anything I can do.

Absolutely! I'm free anytime! Since I'm such a great worker and also do not require sleep, that is!!

[Seriously. Being a robot is great, he's relatively quick at ship cleaning and only agonizes over his current job for as long as he needs to in order to practice putting things together.]

What does your schedule look like today?

Work, cleaning duty, and then I'm free for, oh...I don't know, possibly the later half of the day!!

[Even if he is dispassionate about technology, Mettaton is an efficient worker, so he'll be done fast.]

I have kitchen duty in the evening but if you think we could squeeze a meeting in before that I'm game.

I'm very fucking interested.

[ And if his face looks like he's a kid on Christmas, that's because he is. ]

Okay, so what do you do?

[ Whatever it is, it would seem that he really likes doing it, at least. ]

[ Do? He's pretty sure blowing shit up doesn't really qualify him for this. ]

Uh, I'm good with computers and I really like music. Work real hard if you let me do something with music.

That's great, I could definitely use someone who would want to help out with handling the music.

[ Some company wouldn't hurt either, it's pretty lonely work at the moment. ]

Help so much you won't know what to do with me! Just gonna have to tell me what to do.

[ His job's so boring that he's been going out of his mind. This is exactly what he needs. ]

What sort of music do you like? I want there to be a pretty good mix of styles on the air so that most people will at least hear something they like during the day, you know?

Loud 'n' fast, mostly. Good beat, good energy.

[ Really, he can enjoy almost anything that he considers worth enjoying, though. It's not like he's heard everything the universe has had to offer. He hasn't even heard most of the music from the last century. ]

Anything worth dancin' or fuckin' to.

[ That earns him a surprised little laugh, but hey, can't argue with the logic. ]

The second is kind of difficult for most people on board to manage, I think.

[ So many roomies. ]

Really?

[ If he sounds surprised, it's only because he's managed to get some action already and he hasn't even been here that long. Of course, the idea of being walked in on doesn't phase him. ]

You think they need some kinda instructional pamphlet? Could give them some pointers.

[ That gets another chuckle. ]

I think it's more the privacy issue.

Got more privacy here than I ever had at home. You get used to it. Sometimes you just gotta ask your friends to fuck off for a little while.

Where are you from?

Zones outside of Battery City, but I'm thinkin' no one here seems to know where that is.
