video » evening of 4/4
[ Lois had been on the ship for a few days and she already had more questions than answers. She should lay low and stay out of trouble or ask Clark to do this for her... But that wasn't her style. And considering recent revelations, she'd rather do this on her own.
Despite the temptation, she didn't snoop around upon arrival - instead choosing a more direct approach. She starts the feed in her room, seated at her desk. ]
Hi, most of you probably don't know me. My name's Lois Lane and I have a question for all of you, or a few I suppose. I'm a journalist back home so call it a habit, but I'd love to speak with whoever's willing. Either on or off the record, considering my job seemed to find a way to transfer itself here. I'd preferably like to meet in person, but I can be flexible. Nothing too serious - more about backgrounds, how long you've been on the ship, demographics to establish a baseline. A few questions about your experiences while here if you're willing to share.
[ Her more in-depth questions are something she'd rather keep off the network, at least the ones she'd figured out so far. This process was going to have to be organic based on responses. Speaking of keeping things off the network and getting it out of her head... ]
Also, does anyone have any actual paper and either a pen or pencil they might be willing to part with until I can get a supply of my own? I'll find a way to pay you back. Thank you all for your time and possible assistance.
[ Seems fitting to throw that in there right before she ends her feed, try and work towards building up her own resources as best she can. The message is short and to the point, she'll deal with trying to get interviews with the Captains once she's got a bit of a firmer grip on the real situation.
Hopefully.]

Re: video
It's much more polite to hold a personal conversation in person, don't you think. I believe the bar is usually the place? They have some nice wine, we can make an afternoon of it.
[any chance to talk about herself, honestly.]
video
I agree and the bar is fine. Should we say meet there in a half hour?
[ She still had a few questions to iron out based on previous experiences. It’d be nice to have a little prep time. ]
Re: video
[ahhh so excited to talk about herself!!]

[ And she arrives a few minutes early, grabbing a quieter part of the bar and setting up with a bottle of white, a bottle of red, a blush, and coordinating glasses. She didn't want to make assumptions about the other woman, so better to be over-prepared than under. ]

Good day to you, darling. [probably even more ridiculously british sounding in person.] I do like having a choice of beverages.
[she pointedly does not hold out a hand.]
I don't think I properly introduced myself, please forgive my manners! Lady Aurelia Hammerlock, hunter of Vaults, large game and occasionally people.
action ♥
Well, that's um... That's quite an introduction and an impressive title. Please, sit. Would you prefer to start with the red or white?
[ Please choose because all Lois is doing right now is keeping herself from grabbing a bottle of scotch and downing it before peaceing out. She got herself into this mess, it was hers to see through to the proverbial end.
Breathe and smile, Lois. Just breathe and smile. ]
Re: action ♥
[WELP SHE DID IT ANYWAY. aurelia sits daintily.]
White, if you would. It's been a while since I've had a meeting with an honest to goodness human journalist. Usually they just send in those little flying camera-bots. Annoying. Easy to shoot down. Annoying.
action » hiatus catch up, sorry for the delay!
[ She pours two glasses of white, hand a little heavy on the pour. Call it a precaution considering this was just the beginning of the conversation. ] We certainly don't have camera bots back home, just us human journalists. [ She pauses to take a rather large sip of wine before turning her attention back to Aurelia. ] I take it technology is fairly advanced in your world, then?
NO PROBLEM MY GUY
[aurelia watches louis pour the glasses carefully, not taking her own glass just yet.]
We have a little miracle called digistructing which seems to be woefully lacking here. It's essentially downloading items you possess on your ECHO into real life! Awfully handy for storage, as you can imagine. Have you seen that old-- what is it, meme? You wouldn't download a car? Well, now you can!
[look at aurelia, being in with the cool kids lingo]
