[ Lois had been on the ship for a few days and she already had more questions than answers. She should lay low and stay out of trouble or ask Clark to do this for her... But that wasn't her style. And considering recent revelations, she'd rather do this on her own.
Despite the temptation, she didn't snoop around upon arrival - instead choosing a more direct approach. She starts the feed in her room, seated at her desk. ]
Hi, most of you probably don't know me. My name's Lois Lane and I have a question for all of you, or a few I suppose. I'm a journalist back home so call it a habit, but I'd love to speak with whoever's willing. Either on or off the record, considering my job seemed to find a way to transfer itself here. I'd preferably like to meet in person, but I can be flexible. Nothing too serious - more about backgrounds, how long you've been on the ship, demographics to establish a baseline. A few questions about your experiences while here if you're willing to share.
[ Her more in-depth questions are something she'd rather keep off the network, at least the ones she'd figured out so far. This process was going to have to be organic based on responses. Speaking of keeping things off the network and getting it out of her head... ]
Also, does anyone have any actual paper and either a pen or pencil they might be willing to part with until I can get a supply of my own? I'll find a way to pay you back. Thank you all for your time and possible assistance.
[ Seems fitting to throw that in there right before she ends her feed, try and work towards building up her own resources as best she can. The message is short and to the point, she'll deal with trying to get interviews with the Captains once she's got a bit of a firmer grip on the real situation.
Hopefully.]

It's a good idea, at least, even if really is born purely out of habit on Lois' part. ]
I have a notebook and some pencils you can borrow. I wrote on some of the pages, but you can use the rest if you want.
[It's not much, but it's all she can offer at the moment.]
Text
Did you have someplace you wanted to meet so I could grab that from you?
[ She'll take anything offered and not dig too deep into people's reasonings right now. There's a part of her that's still not going to blindly trust everyone on board, but she couldn't start every connection off that way. She'd get nowhere quick. ]
Text
Just don't erase the notes that are already in there. I'll copy them down later when I get a new notebook.
[Her attempt at translation has been sort of a fool's errand anyway. Still, the notes couldn't hurt to keep if the ship ever has another translation error.]
I can meet you on the observation deck in a few minutes if you want.
Text
And I'll keep them safe, don't worry.
[ She'll even do what she can to not pry. ]
See you in a few, then.
[ And with that she's gonna waste no time heading over to the observation deck before getting any further with the other offers to meet. ]
Action
Once there, it doesn't take her long to find Lois. The older woman had used video to introduce herself, so she had a face to go with the name. Shortly thereafter, Lois will find herself approached by a thin girl, no older than 8 or 9 years of age, toting a notebook in hand.]
Lois Lane? I'm the person who promised you my notebook.
Action
She doesn't waste the extra time, pacing slightly while she starts compiling questions in her mind. Although, she's quick to snap out of it - giving a quick smile. ]
Yes, hi. [ She looks younger than Lois had anticipated, but she wasn't going to question this right now. ] I can't thank you enough for this.
no subject
It's alright, I'm not using it anymore. [She says with a small shrug, handing over the notebook. The first dozen or so pages are filled to the brim with translation notes - although now that the MIDs are translating every language once more, they all seem kind of redundant and the flaws in her translations are very apparent. ]
I'm Clover, by the way. What was it that you need to take notes on?
no subject
More habit than anything. I'm a journalist back home and I had a notebook that I used to keep track of details and thoughts on most of my stories. I'll be interviewing a few people on the ship and call it crazy but I like to have my notes in a few places just to be safe.
[ Some conspiracy theories weren't all that far-fetched when there were actually things after you. ]
