I think what is meant to be a cautionary tale has gotten a little out of control.

I don't think we have a choice but to get involved in places we land. For good or bad, we're there. We fuck it up or we make it better, no matter what we do. So... I know I worry I fuck up everything whether I'm trying to do bad or good, but I know what I do doesn't reflect people that are smarter and better at dealing with things than me. They can change things so that they're less of a mess.

In my opinion. If the better people want to do something. Let them.

We saved a lot of kids on Emiri. I am upset still by Cadacus Primary [lord help him, he still has trouble making the syllables of those words work right], and I will probably never be okay with it, but think of how many people a lot of us have killed on purpose. That one is an accident born of a stupid mistake. One that we made just by not leaving when we are told. If we had not stuck around there, then there would be one less ship worth of survivors from that world.

Things are more complicated than people are led to believe.
