[The feed starts out pink from her paw pads, then white as the boss monster realizes she's covering her MID's lense. When her hand pulls back, viewers are greeted by the sight of a large smiling white goat monster. ]

Greetings, I am Toriel.

Now that things have... relatively settled down. I thought it would be a good time for baking.

I admit it is rather self indulgent, but I've been in the mood to make pie for quite awhile now. I've finally gotten the ingredient I've been missing for my favorite kind of pie, so I thought I would offer some to anyone feeling a bit hungry.

[She turns her arm a bit awkwardly, not sure how to handle the MID, eventually showing a fresh surprisingly large pie. When she turns the camera lense back to herself she's smiling a little brighter.] If you would like any fresh snail pie, please come by. I'm in the cafeteria currently.

Ah- yes, Papyrus. I've finished what I promised you, should I bring it to you?

How much did you make?

[Frisk loves Toriel's cooking, but they've never been a huge fan of snails...maybe if they're slow, everyone else will have eaten it?]

I've only made one pie. It's rather big, so it should last most of the day. [She has to smile a little, amusement touching her features. The boss monster isn't unaware of how Frisk isn't much on snails.]

[They really are pretty transparent about it. But they try, for mom's sake.]

Okay! Um...I gotta finish some stuff, but I'll come later, okay?

[It's not entirely a lie, but they sure are going to take their time getting things done...]

Mhmm. [Toriel is just stifling a laugh.] Take your time, my dear. I also have some butterscotch now, so if you want to we can always make that together later.

[Frisk grins widely and bounces a little, shaking the camera on their end. BUTTERSCOTCH CINNAMON PIE YESSSSSSSSSSSSS]

Really? Do you have a lot, how many can we make?

[Now she has to laugh lightly in turn. Frisk's excitement always makes her smile.] I got a rather large box of butterscotch in the mail, so we could make quite a few pies if we wanted to.

[Asriel is staring at the pie. He's not drooling but with the way he's looking at it, he might as well be.]

Mom, can I come over now right now?

[The look on Asriel's face earns an amused sound from the boss monster as much as it warms her heart. It has been so long since her son had her pie.]

Of course! If you hurry you might get the first slice.

I didn't know you could make pie out of snails. [A beat.] It sounds good.

[Guess who has probably eaten snails before??? This forest child, that's who.]

[She wrinkles her eyebrows.]

You know, I've never had snails before. I've heard they're popular in other countries. I'm Dutch, by the way. Nice to meet you, Toriel.

[Dutch smiles a little bit and gives a friendly wave with just her fingers.]

Snail?

You can make almost anything out of snails. [She smiles at that.] If you would like some, you can come get a slice, dear.

[You can hear the excited eeeeeeeeeeing as soon as he connects.]

You made a lasagna, just for me?? Yes! Yes, that would be very much appreciated!!

Yes, Snail. They make a very nice ingredient for pie.[She offers the young man a smile.] Would you like some, dear?

[The boss monster returns the wave with a smile of her own.] It is a pleasure, Dutch. I'm heard as much, but have yet to see how others use snails in recipes. I should ask around one of these days.

If you wish to try any, please do come by. If not, I'd be happy to talk with you.

I promised I would, dear. You certainly deserve a treat.

Give me a moment to leave a sign for everyone else who might want some pie and I'll be on my way. Where are you now?

I'm in the garden right now! But I can meet you there if you'd rather! You never know, someone might come along and finish the other pie you made.

[Papyrus brings up a point at that. Toriel spares the dishes out of sight a brief glance.] Ah, that is certainly true- I haven't had a slice myself.

I'll wait here for you then, dear.

[He knew Toriel's cooking had to be delicious, and obviously people wouldn't be able to resist the crunchiness and flavor of fresh snail pie. He's so smart!

It isn't too long before a loud rattling announces his arrival a few seconds before he bursts in. He does look much better than the last time she saw him. His arm's out of the sling, though he's still favoring it a little, and his HP seems to be full up again.]

Here I am! Wowie, it smells amazing in here! Were you baking all day??

Snail pie? I'll try anything once.

[ Not even batting an eye tbh ]

Don't suppose you can make apple pie, too?

[Of all things, the rattling just makes the boss monster smile, rising from her seat at Papyrus's arrival to greet the monster properly.

She steps forward, opening her arms a little in a wordless invitation for a hug. Toriel will understand if Papyrus isn't interested of course.] Thank you! I wouldn't say all day, but long enough. I'm sure everyone on shift was tired of seeing me after a certain point.

Come and sit down dear, I made the meal with magic so it should be still warm.

Wonderful! I have plenty left still!

I can! Though I'll wait a bit before making anymore, I don't want to exhaust our supplies for pies.

I didn't even know it was a "thing" until now. [ Complete with air quotes! ] Is it common where you're from? Since you're not... You know.

[ Human. He's looking for the word 'human.' ]

[Are you joking? Papyrus is never not down for a hug, especially from a tall furry boss lady. He squeezes tight, mostly with the left arm.]

I'm sure that's not true! The more you cook, the less the lazybones on this shift will have to make!

[Toriel isn't particularly bothered by the slight pause, clearly used to it if anything.] I suppose it is more a monster tradition generally. Though some humans in certain countries enjoy snails from what I've heard.
