We're having a little smidge of a problem in the Med Bay and by smidge I mean there are these little metal shits trying to eat some of the equipment.

[She turns the view to show a couple of the scraplets fighting over something. Hard to tell what it once was, but it's got a cord and it's being gnawed down Lady and the Tramp style between them.]

I need people down her, before they jump on the next course.

[She's trying not to give in to the urge to get up and start helping to tidy the place up - for one thing, Yewll probably won't let her. For another, she's not sure she'd be much help just yet.]

So I guess you didn't hear me screaming when I woke up and saw the--

[But before she can finish, Yewll goes on, and Tali stops...then immediately twists her head to stare, squinting, at the doctor, arm now rather pathetically on her forehead.]

Catch fire?

We're on a planet with a flammable atmosphere! [She says it like Tali just received a grand prize in horrible timing.]

Aren't you excited.

And sadly no, there was a lot of screaming going on. Mostly from me as I was trying to break these things.

[The look Meh gets here is nothing short of incredulous. She even props herself up on an elbow just to properly stare at her, ignoring for the moment her arm shaking under her weight.]

But that--why would we even-- [Why did they go to any of the bizarre, dangerous worlds they've stopped at.] Why don't we ever go anywhere that makes sense?

[She's silent for a moment, lips pursed in thought, then,] How didn't it burn itself up aeons ago?

[She stopped asking these questions about things that don't make sense to her - all the things that back home just plain wouldn't be allowed by laws of nature or physics or common sense. Now she's just been asleep for a month - she's allowed to be incredulous about literally everything.]

I got a few theories on that but I also lack the desire to test them out. Mostly I want to get out of here.

So, should I put out a call to some friends of yours or are you wanting to do that yourself?

Probably the best idea. [She sounds just a little distracted, trying not to think about things like could the engines possibly set off the atmosphere.]

Ah--no, it's fine, I can call somebody. Err... Is it OK for me to go? There aren't any...any side effects of coming out of stasis early or anything?

All your vitals are healthy, so I think you're fine.

But if you start noticing anything unusual? Be sure to come back. You had a lot of work done.

[Doc Yewll isn't familiar with what Curre did, but she does know they would have to address someone's nutrition intake going awry immediately.]

Will do. [...Even still feeling as groggy as she does, she can't help grinning broadly at that, though.]

I'm still not used to hearing doctors tell me I'm perfectly healthy.

[And, because being told she's healthy means she probably shouldn't lie around pathetically, groggy or not, she sits up properly, swinging her legs off the bed.]

Do you need any help? Picking up trash, fixing the equipment...

What is with you people.

Yeah, I'll need some help. After you've eaten and had time to see if there's any ill-effects from it, and after you've spent time at home.

[For a moment she looks startled, then smiles before she can stop herself.]

OK, I'll hold you to that.

[She slides off the bed, standing upright. Her legs feel like they don't know what they're doing, but they'll manage.]

It's no problem. You're a good kid.

Call someone to come get you and get your cute butt some rest. [She pats Tali on the shoulder, genuinely worried about her.]

[She's never had any reason to even think before about how old Meh is before, but suddenly she's considering it. Much older than she'd have assumed, apparently (or maybe Tali seems a lot younger than she is).]

I'm on it. I'll go rest up after my one-month nap. [Sarcastic as it is, it's of a gentle kind.]
