Sorry, I missed the memo; are we trying to ruin every planet we stop at now? Because this plan -- this mercenary deal -- sure makes it seem like it. I mean, it would be bad enough on a terrestrial planet, but a hydrogen atmosphere gas giant? That’s where we’re planning on putting a bunch of firearm-toting mercenaries?

Look, maybe some of you weren’t here for our stops on the last few planets, but trust me when I say that getting involved in local affairs ended very, very badly. For everyone. And that was without hiring mercs to solve problems that aren’t ours to begin with. The best thing we can do here is to take what we need and leave.

And if you have been here long enough to remember: don’t make us responsible for another Cadacus Primary.

It's baffling that they're doing it by hiring mercenaries of all things. None offence-- well, some offence, but you people aren't exactly known for doing the right thing.

I suspect these people will care not even a bit about the whaling problem, just the pay out. And how are they to be paid? I shan't be donating any shares, that's for sure.

None taken. [Exchanging violence for money is hardly anyone’s idea of “the right thing,” even if the marks themselves usually deserve it.]

People are using their rank rewards as payment. [Zam’s tone grows derisive.] One thing that can be said for these mercenaries, they go cheap. Never heard of anyone taking on a job like this for a few trinkets.

Clearly. [It’s amazing that some of the crew are actually buying into this. Zam supposes they’re blinded by their guilt -- ironic, since it’ll likely just lead to their accidentally inflicting some new horror on yet another unsuspecting planet.

In this case, Zam’s ammorality may actually make them less dangerous than their more “ethical” crewmates.]

I don’t see why we have to get involved at all. I thought we were trying to get home, not play galactic police at every planet we stop at.

I suppose I'll have to tell them I don't agree with their choice to be moral, but support it nonetheless. In the way that I'm not pistol whipping anyone for stupidity.
