[ Bruce greets the camera with a cordial smile, there and gone, replaced with a somewhat tired and worried look. ]

Hi, Moira. Bruce Banner, for those of you who don't know me, and I'm the Chief Science Officer on board. In light of our current situation, I've been working on a number of devices to be placed on the surface of the planet, that once activated will link together and create a barrier around the planet. It will work as a kind of shield that would effectively make it impossible for any ship to dock on the planet, or for anyone to go down to the surface.

I've talked to the captains about this, and we're going ahead with the project. Needless to say that this is incredibly time-sensitive, and while so far everything's going smoothly and the results are promising, I could use as many people with the necessary knowledge involved in this as possible. Science officers on board are working exclusively on this right now, and I'm contacting a few people that I know have the knowledge necessary to help, but if anyone else thinks they have what it takes to join in, drop me a line.

This is a serious request. Don't waste my or anyone else's time, please.

[ Not that he thinks anyone would, but just covering his bases, in case there's some prankster or smartass on board. ]

I'll also need people to place the devices down on the surface of the planet. It's a fairly simple process so no need to have any kind of knowledge about how the machines were built or how they work, so long as you can handle the weight with relative care.

Another note— [ He pauses, presses his lips for a moment. ] Along with a holographic map of our journey, I've been putting together an information file about our current situation, to be delivered to all the new arrivals as they come in. Things I'd like to cover include: where we are, how or why we're here, who here can help them with certain fundamental needs, a rough overview of varying timelines and parallel universes, as well as a general overview of what's happened so far. I'm also planning to include the information regarding the Space 101 lesson that's held after each wave of new arrivals, to those that might need it. There's no guarantee everyone will read it, of course, but it might cut down on the number of people asking similar questions time and again.

Furthermore, I've put together a file about my condition. At this point about half the ship already knows about it, but I'm posting it on public domain and making it available for anyone to consult at any time. This document will also be attached to the main information file when sent to all the new arrivals. For anyone interested in reading it now, follow the link.

If anyone wants to suggest any information they think important to add to the main information file, let me know here. As for my personal file, I wrote it because I don't think keeping it a secret is feasible anymore, and even if it were I think it's safer for everyone here to know what they're dealing with, and avoid potentially dangerous situations. I'm not going to write files on everyone on board or anything like that, don't worry.

[ He takes a deep breath, silent, shoulders lowering. ] That's it. Let me know if you have any questions about any of this.

[ And the feed cuts off. ]

It didn't really seem like something I should bring up. I assumed that if you wanted to talk about it, then you'd tell me.

[But if Bruce wanted to talk about it now, Scott was all ears.]

I don't mind. I was just curious as to whether or not you knew, since the people I've met from home so far didn't know.

[ He's not even sure he wants to know, but he asks anyway. ] Is it a matter of public record, at your point in time? Or are you just good at digging up that sort of information?

I don't know if it's public record exactly. I knew about your work in gamma radiation, a big fan remember, and thought something was up. I wasn't one hundred percent until now.

Alright. That makes sense, yes.

[ He'd wondered, both after years being part of the Avengers, and the whole thing with Wanda, if his identity would even be a secret anymore— he's not sure if this comforts him or not, but it doesn't really matter right now, anyway. ]

I'll share a little more about it later, if you want. The condition itself. I'm not sure if it's up your alley, but if it interests you, I don't mind talking about it. [ Not that he expects to learn anything new about it, after years of studying it himself, but he does appreciate having people around who don't tiptoe around the subject. ]

[Scott'd had a lot of time in prison to do a whole lot of nothing. Watching the t.v. and analyzing certain information, plus what Hank had told him. He'd come to the conclusion on his own, but it wasn't a major focus point or something he thought he should tell anyone.]

I'm here and whenever you're free, I'll listen.

[He walks up to the science room door, and steps inside with an impressed look on his face.]

[ Bruce doesn't answer the last text, spotting Scott by the door and waving at him from farther away. The area's large but it's not so crowded right now that he wouldn't be able to spot him. ]

Scott, [ He calls out a little louder, then gestures at him to step farther inside. ] Come on in. How are you?

[He gives a little wave, crossing the room. Scott does a spin, trying to take everything in all at once.]

Good, man. How are you?

[Scott sticks his hand out when he reaches Bruce, ready for whatever they were going to be doing, an easy smile lightening his expression.]

[ Bruce takes the hand in a quick shake, greeting him with a smile too. ]

Busy, mostly. A little tired too. [ Easy to tell right now, and only to be expected, considering how much work they're trying to get done. He leads the way to one of the devices, letting Scott take a look. ] Feel free to check it out. I also have the schematics added to the system here, if you want to take a look.

[Sleep after science, Scott could get on board with that. The fact that the science was to give something protection was even better.]

What kind of device are you aiming for? What's the power source?

[He's already bent over it as he asks, shaking his head as he starts to poke and prod at it.]

Never mind, I'll just look. [He didn't want to look like an idiot in front of Bruce.] How'd you guys get so far with it already?

[ Bruce is already pulling up the files on the holo table, along with a holographic representation of the device, which can be taken apart so Scott can get a closer look at all the smaller parts without having to waste time disassembling a finished one. Not like they can afford doing that right now anyway. ]

All the details are here. [ He does offer a quick overview of how the device works, as well as power sources. Hands sliding into the pockets of his lab coat, he sighs quietly at Scott's question. ]

A lot of work, few hours of sleep. A good number of people helping out makes a big difference, too.

That's not really healthy, man.

[Not that Scott should be trying to lecture anybody on what's good for them.]

But it's good that you've got people to help. There's a lot, and I mean a lot, of intelligent people on this ship.

[Which he had no idea if that would be good or bad in the long run, but he'd go with good, mostly.]

What's the time limit to get this done?

[ Bruce just lifts his eyebrows and shrugs at Scott. Can't be helped. He'll catch up on sleep later anyway, and he never would push himself past a point that wouldn't be safe for him or anyone else. ]

There is, yes. Right now that's a very good thing.

[ Much like Scott, he doesn't know how that'll pan out in the long run, but right now he's mostly glad for it, especially when so many of them are willing to help out. ]

I'm not sure. I don't think the captains have a set date to leave, but I assume we need to get it done before the month is through. Probably a few days before then. I'm just trying to finish this as soon as possible. Can't get it done too soon, after all.
