[It’s been a tense week of disguises, stealth, and unsuccessful network hacking attempts, but as the days continue to pass without incident, Zam is beginning to think all of this was a false alarm. Yes, the Jedi from Coruscant are on the ship, possibly along with the senator, but for whatever reason, the Ingress seems to have forgotten about Jango. Neither his name nor his face have appeared on the directory, which means he either isn’t here or he never got his MID. Never hurts to double-check though, and since he won’t be checking the network in either of those situations...]

Just so we’re clear, no one’s seen a human male in blue and silver armor among the newcomers, have they? If you do, you should let me know. Immediately.

Also, to the two or three people now on the ship who are acquainted with me from back home: we’re all in the same situation here -- I don’t want to be here, you don’t want to be here, and I also don’t want you to be here. Let’s not make a bad situation worse by digging up past disputes.

Speaking of which, has anybody figured out how to change your display name on this kriffing thing?

That’s the plan. [Zam’s already been killed once at Jango’s hands and she isn’t looking for a repeat performance.]

Maybe not, but it can keep me out of the fight until I’m prepared. [And her abilities do have some uses in combat -- ever try and pin someone who can shift bones out of their sockets before?]

True. As long as no one connects the name to your device. Which is why I guess you want to change the display name? I'd try the science officers on that one.

I'm going to say no, but I've kind of realized I'm from way behind most people. So. Maybe in the future?

Let me guess: you’re from Earth. [That seems to be the most common planet for less technologically-minded humans on the ship. Strangely straightforward name for a planet though -- like naming Tattooine “Sand” or Kamino “Water.”]

That obvious? [He grins, shrugging a shoulder and jostling the camera.] Heard that a lot from Earthlings?

Call it a trend I’ve noticed. It sounds crazy, but I’m beginning to think “Earth” might be the human homeworld. Not Coruscant. [There was never any definite proof of the latter after all; sometimes it feels like the entire galaxy just shrugged and gave them that one because nobody could come up with a better answer.]

Well, I've never heard of Coruscant so maybe you're right. Or it's just one of those universe things. Maybe that's just the fancy name for Earth in your dimension. Sounds a little better than just Earth anyway.
