text;

[It’s been a tense week of disguises, stealth, and unsuccessful network hacking attempts, but as the days continue to pass without incident, Zam is beginning to think all of this was a false alarm. Yes, the Jedi from Coruscant are on the ship, possibly along with the senator, but for whatever reason, the Ingress seems to have forgotten about Jango. Neither his name nor his face have appeared on the directory, which means he either isn’t here or he never got his MID. Never hurts to double-check though, and since he won’t be checking the network in either of those situations...]

Just so we’re clear, no one’s seen a human male in blue and silver armor among the newcomers, have they? If you do, you should let me know. Immediately.

Also, to the two or three people now on the ship who are acquainted with me from back home: we’re all in the same situation here -- I don’t want to be here, you don’t want to be here, and I also don’t want you to be here. Let’s not make a bad situation worse by digging up past disputes.

Speaking of which, has anybody figured out how to change your display name on this kriffing thing?

The Empire.

[And there's only one reason to ask that question. After meeting so many people hailing from decades into her past, she can guess what's coming.]

That's not the case for you, is it?

How far into the Clone Wars were you?

[As far as she can tell, it's the easiest point of comparison.]
imahologram: (fourteen.)

Over twenty years, without a doubt.

["Before the Clone Wars" encompasses plenty of time. And then, after a few moments:]

Who is Boba Fett?
imahologram: (sixty-five.)

[No wonder she'd been so suspicious when the name first came up.]

Then I'm sure you'll be proud to hear his skills are in high demand.

[Sorry, Boba-Fett's-familial-figure-or-whoever-you-are, she's still a little bitter at the guy.]

Hunted.

[It's a very good thing she's typing rather than speaking. Hopefully the bite with which she jabs at the keys doesn't come through.]

He's here now, though, which is about the best ending a person could ask for. Fett gets the money, he gets his freedom.

I would have gotten him back.

[That's just what she was planning on doing, after all. So long as Han could be rescued, she'd had every intent of saving him.]

That's not a bad guess. So you've met?

He probably wasn't expecting anyone from our galaxy.

[His longtime...issues...with certain Hutts is a subject that they don't need to get into.]

Since we have so many mutual acquaintances, we might as well be acquainted ourselves. What's your name?
imahologram: (thirteen.)

[personal profile] imahologram 2016-03-17 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
It might, but it didn't show up in the ones I read.

I'm Leia Organa.

Likewise, Zam Wessell. [Well. Sort of. Look, she's being polite.]

It'll be better when I can get back to it. I have a war to win.

They aren't entities you'll be familiar with. The empire that destroyed the Republic, and a rebel group trying to return democracy to the galaxy.
imahologram: (seventy-three.)

[personal profile] imahologram 2016-03-30 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
Among other things.

An impressive death toll, rampant political confusion, and enough burying of the truth that my father lived through it and I still can't tell you exactly what happened from start to finish. It was ugly, even by the standards of war, and it left us with a government that works against the people, not for them.
