Hello, my name is Trish Walker, I'm kind of new around here, and back where I'm from I hosted a radio show.

[ She supposes that maybe some of the worlds people are from may not have radio, but if that's the case she figures they can just ask what it is. ]

I've been tasked with doing the same thing here, so I figured I'd ask you guys what sort of content you'd like, what time of day you'd like the show to go on, and if you have any other thoughts on the matter. So, fire away, guys, I'm all ears!

[ No guarantees she'll give anyone what they want, but she is genuinely interested in hearing about it. ]

And if anyone would be willing to come on the show for an interview, that would be amazing. I have so many questions for all of you, and I’m sure we’d all be interested to hear about other worlds and universes.

Space weather segment?

[ He doesn't even look all that serious, but it is an honest suggestion. Kind of. ]

Music. Music, music, music. This place is lacking in music. No need to talk about anything, just play some tunes.

I'm not too good with interviews. But I do like music.

You know what, I wouldn't mind talking to someone about this ship. Especially since health issues on an interplanetary basis is something that most of the crew hasn't regularly encountered.

[ She presses her lips together, trying not to laugh. ]

Cloudy with a chance of meteor showers?

What kind of music do you like?

There will definitely be some of that too.

I know I haven't. I'd love to have a conversation with you about it on the show.

But in all seriousness, it could be interesting and even useful. Information about where we are, how close we are to certain space objects and how that can affect us, conditions of any planet we might be docking, radiation and energy levels... so on.

[ Because she sure won't know that info, or where to get it, but it's a good idea. ]

Oh. [ Wait no that's not what he was suggesting. ]

Well, I can uh... give you the information? I check it every morning, in any case. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes for you to announce it.

Interplanetary health issues. I could definitely need a primer on that so I think it's a great idea.

That's pretty great actually, yes. We haven't had any sort of outbreak so far, thankfully, but considering we can end up in any kind of place, it's a possibility we should keep in mind. And the more careful people are, the better.

Oh geez. Like, Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Zeppelin. Even some softer stuff like Croce, or Warwick or Joni. But you know, anything that doesn't suck will be okay.

Good. I can give my all-points bulletin about washing your hands after you use the restroom.

[Said dryly but she's only partially joking.]

You're a radio announcer, and we didn't use that as a distraction?

[ She's kidding. Mostly kidding. And more than a little curious about where a radio announcer learned some of those moves — but that's a can of worms it doesn't pay to open. Not when its surface is so shiny and reflective. ]

You should definitely do horoscopes, though. [ Alice, that's a newspaper thing. ] And an advice thing. Like Dear Abby.

Can't wait to come away from that talk with a head full of horror scenarios involving intergalactic viruses.

[ Said with dry humour, though she fully expects that to be what happens. ]

Stuff that doesn't suck, I think I can work with that guideline.

[ It's not very exciting, really. She hired an instructor. ]

How would that have distracted anyone? And I don't actually know how to do horoscopes.

[ Never mind that she thinks they are ridiculous. ]

But I could do the Dear Abby thing.

[ That draws a huff of amusement from Trish. ]

Thank you for making me think about how many people might need that reminder on board.

[ He lets out a chuckle at that, grinning. ]

Oh, I could tell you some horror stories. [ But he won't, of course. ] Just remember to keep your vaccines updated, you'll be fine. A new planet is always a risk, but we do have skilled people working on the medbay and the labs. If worse comes to worst, there's the cryo units.

But it really is best not to think about the possibilities too much, or you'll end up wanting to live inside a bubble.
