[ The feed starts with Bruce sitting in what looks like a large high-tech sort of place, from the glimpses one can get from the background. Despite the hint of tiredness that still lingers, after being so busy throughout the first half of the month, he actually looks happy, or at the very least pleased with himself. ]
Hi, everyone. To those of you who don't know me yet, I'm Bruce Banner, as of recently Moira's Chief Science Officer. I hope everyone's recovering well from everything that's happened, though I still recommend anyone who got injured to drop by the medbay and get checked out. Even if you'll be alright on your own, there are ways to ease your suffering and to even heal your wounds faster, and there's nothing wrong with accepting a little help sometimes.
[ Looking at a couple of specific people here, by the way. You know who you are. ]
On another note, the Science Department's been running since the beginning of the month. I've been a little busy but it's starting to come together now. If anyone wants to come by and check it out, feel free to. I know more than just a few of you have an interest in the kind of work that will be done here.
The thing is, it's just me for now, and it would be useful to have a few more Science Officers on the ship. So, if that's something that would interest you and you think you have the knowledge, feel free to apply for the job. I'd love to have people around to work with. [ He smiles a little at the camera, then he adds: ] If science is your thing, you'll want to join in.
[ Look he needed a slogan to lure people in, alright? Just... be charmed by his awkward smile and his dorky attempt at a joke and let's call it a day. ]
(( ooc: Read up on the Science Department, and if your character's all about science and would consider a job change, join in! In the meantime, he'll also be around the Science Department, if anyone prefers to just drop by and say hi instead of replying to the broadcast. ))

very definitely over video
[Okay, so teasing the other half of the Hulk is probably not his best plan, but he's bored and in the mood for mischief, and he is doing it over camera. He likes not having black eyes.]

[ Said with a smile that to just about anyone would look like a friendly one. Sorry Loki, he's just not ready to trust you. Any version of you. ]
no subject
[He knows that smile, though; he's a master of the less than friendly smile. Oddly, his own grows a little more amused. He does like a little verbal parrying sometimes...]
But I suppose if you'd rather use lesser sources, it's entirely your choice.
no subject
[ Okay maybe not. But look Bruce can be an underhanded little shit too when he wants to be. ]
I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I'd say it's not personal, but... [ He presses his lips and gives him a shrug. ] Sorry.
no subject
[Loki never really minds getting poked when it isn't personal... although apparently it is. He's not surprised. Lokis do seem to have a very bad habit of going crazy. And really- well, he does have a very long history with the Hulk, back home. All the way back to the founding of the Avengers, really.]
You know apologising for something you don't mean is very dishonest, yes? Careful. One little lie, and before you know it... well, you'll never be the god of them, but they're a remarkably slippery path.
no subject
[ And all too happy and smug to have answers Bruce might need. It's probably petty of him to not want to ever give him the satisfaction, but it's stronger than him - still, if the ship's safety were at risk, along with everyone else in it, and he had no other option, he would just suck it up and ask him for help. ]
One single dishonest apology isn't going to send me down a slippery slope. [ Bruce says plenty of lies, too, though mostly to himself. And he knows all too well what a slippery slope feels like. ] Your concern is appreciated, though. [ No it's not. See? There goes another lie. ]
no subject
[It's not really the same for humans. They're capable of change far more easily than gods, and Loki can and had envied them for that. Gods are stories, their roles easy to define and hard to escape. Still, it's true enough that lying can become a habit, and besides; messing with people has very little to do with the truth, unless the truth would hurt more than a lie.]
But what would I know? It's not like they're one of my particular concerns or anything, or that liars are always on some level mine.

[Pepper Potts: asking the important things.]
no subject
He hasn't said anything yet, no. But I suspect that might be because he's still a little wobbly. I'm sure he'll drop by any day now, or I'll just have to go look for him and make sure he's still alive. [ Joking, of course. ] Not sure about any kind of system, though. Anything you had in mind? An alarm clock, maybe?
no subject
In the meantime, she arches an eyebrow at the idea of an alarm clock being a sufficient way to break stubborn scientists away from their experiment.] Something you could just press a button to quiet after promising yourself that in five more minutes, you'll take a break? No.
[But since he's asked...]
I don't know how AI integration would work in the lab, but I'm sure Tony could provide something. You should also have drinks readily available--water at the very least, no alcohol. Food is a bit trickier; on the one hand, it'd be nice to know you'll keep yourselves fed down there. On the other, if you have to leave to get meals, then that could be another incentive to take care of yourselves. Definitely no truly comfortable furniture. You might be able to fall asleep anywhere, but it's easier to manage in a bed than on chair that pokes you in the wrong place.
no subject
[ Delivered with a stretched smile, almost amused. Just throwing ideas out there. ]
Wow, that's... you really have a list, don't you? [ It's sweet, really. And amusing. ] For the record, I still have a routine I intend to stick to. A routine that involves me going to the mess hall for meals, going to my own bed every night, exercising and working out too, going for walks... things like that. I'm not going to live and sleep in there, I promise. [ He's not that bad, alright? Well, mostly. He might get distracted a couple of times, but that's it, honestly. ]
But those are nice ideas. I'll keep them in mind. [ He'll just go ahead and skip on the last suggestion, because no way he's not having comfortable furniture there. ]
no subject
[Bruce, you have no idea how much experience Pepper has with this. "Successfully getting Tony out of the lab" should be a bullet point on her resume.]
I was responsible for making sure Tony took care of himself for a long time before we were together. That included designing the aspects of his workshop geared towards that end. [So yes, there's a list. Respect the list, Bruce. Also comfortable furniture is totally a trap that you'e letting yourself fall into, just saying.]
Right. Up until you get something truly fascinating to work on, in which case you might need someone to bodily drag you out. [Okay, so maybe she's exaggerating--or projecting. But the thing is, before all the mess with Killian, Pepper had gotten so wrapped up in her own work that she let Tony get away with so much more than she should have. It culminated when he tried to skip out on date night in favor of working in the lab--and created a set of armor that responded to his unconscious commands to protect him by attacking his lover in bed.
She doesn't want to go down that road again. Not with Tony, or any of her other friends.]
no subject
I can easily guess that's how Tony works. I, on the other hand, can't afford to let myself slip up like that. I need balance in my life, as you well know, and among other things, that involves a balanced diet and relatively regular sleeping schedule. Sure, I might get a project sometime that'll have me spending more hours in there, but I still won't skip out on meals or minimum hours of rest a day.
[ It's not something he would ever risk, especially not here, with so many people around whose lives he could endanger. If he's not well rested and fed, then his control can slip up, even without him realizing it. It's not something he can allow himself, not ever. ]
But I'll gladly help you keep an eye on Tony. He still has his job as an engineer in any case, so hopefully he won't hole himself up in the science department too often. [ Haha right. ]

voice;
I'd love to help out! I'm not sure how compatible the sciences we know will be, but we can always learn from each other and maybe even find better ways of getting things done that way.
[Please pick him for the team, he's dying to get all science-y.]
I have another job, so I can't do it officially, but it doesn't take up a lot of my time so I'd really appreciate being able to come by and help there too. Please?
voice;
That's alright. Everyone's free to drop by if they want to learn or share some knowledge, so long as you don't mess up any of the ongoing work.
[ He doubts Al would, but it's kind of a general disclaimer he has to add. ]
I'm always up for an exchange. And you never stop learning, right? So yes, you can come by anytime.
no subject
[He may have also thrown his hands in the air in the universal YAY sign, which means his voice gets a bit more distant.]
Do you think I could come by now? Is that okay? You're not too busy?
no subject
Sure, you can drop by. It's pretty quiet now, actually, especially since everything's settled down.
no subject
[Sadly, he forgets to hang up right away. Which means Bruce is treated to the sound of a huge metal suit of armour clanking its way around the ship.
Al skids into the science department only a short while later, having run the whole way (and got lost at least once).]
I'm here! Excuse me, Dr. Banner? I'm here!
no subject
The skidding sound gets his attention, and he turns to greet Al as he comes inside. ]
That was quick. [ He smiles a little. ] You must've been the most punctual kid in class.

video;
[ he's already been making notes about this place as it is, seeing as it's so different from his own world. but this is intriguing! ]
The technology and some of the science on this ship is pretty new to me, but I'd still love to see the facilities. I don't know what sort of skills you'll find useful, most of my knowledge is chemical, but I've picked up a few things along the way!
video;
[ And Bruce is looking for colleagues as much as people interested in learning more. ]
You're new around here, I take it?
no subject
[ he's very fortunate to have people like Winry and the team at Central to help take care of him and Al when they're hurt. ]
Yeah, I arrived with my brother. We're just trying to do as much research as we can -- this place as a lot to offer! [ what they're researching, though, could really be anything with these boys, but Edward wants to find a way to get their bodies back to normal. ]
no subject
[ He nods. It was easy to tell he was a new arrival - over time, one gets used to spotting them right away. ]
That's a good way to look at things. [ Most people focus on the bad aspects, rather than what they can take from the experience. Bruce had been like that at first himself, still is at times, but he's grown to see good things in being on the Moira too. ] So what's your name?
no subject
[ he grins, a fiery determination written into his expression. ]
Oh! I'm Edward Elric, it's nice to meet you. [ science talk got him distracted from actual manners, sorry Bruce. ] I've already spent some time in the library doing research. There's a lot of material to get through. Mind if I come see the labs sometime today? I won't get in the way, though, I'll make sure of that. I can probably explain my knowledge a little bit better, too. One of those seeing is believing, you know? [ he laughs. ]
no subject
[ Recognition flashes in Bruce's eyes at the name. ] I've met your brother, then, I think. Alphonse? He's been here already, earlier today. [ He tips his head a little. ] So, are you an alchemy user? He told me that's... a thing, in your world.
