Video: Backdated to Jan 2nd-ish

[The video comes on to show Tron in one of the medbay beds, sitting up but propped up on the bed as it's reclined. He looks tired, if a program can appear to be so, and the T-shaped pattern of circuits visible at his neck are dim, fading and brightening slowly. When he speaks, his voice is softer than usual, as though it's an effort to talk.]

Some of you may have discovered by now that there is another program aboard the ship. His name is Rinzler and he... can be very dangerous. If you see someone who looks nearly identical to me, but whose circuit lights are red, please try to avoid contact.

[Tron closes his eyes briefly, his circuits pulsing and dimming again. When he blinks them open, he looks as though he wants to say more, but he shakes his head minutely and concludes the video.] That is all.

Attacking someone and wanting to destroy them are two very different things. [ Which makes him a little uncomfortable to think about. ] Complications can still be explained if you are willing to try.

He was attacking with intent to destroy. If someone had not intervened, the fight would have not ended until one of us was derezzed. Dead.

[He's not sure he wants to explain, but... it's better than people trying to figure it out for themselves.]

Rinzler and I are the same program in our base code. Tron. He has been overwritten to become... that. Rinzler is a killer. I assume he saw me and determined that we could not both exist in this place. I still do not know how we are both here, but I have no desire to destroy him.

[ He really doesn't understand all this talk of programs and base code, but it's easy to translate that into something to relate to. Mephistopheles knows beings who have done far worse than kill, and though he's only met Rinzler briefly, he doesn't get that same feeling from him. ]

It's never easy to overcome the way you were made. Perhaps he needs time to realize you can exist together without the need for violence. [ But... ] Are you going to be okay?

I want that, as well. I do not want violence between us, and would rather coexist peacefully on this ship.

[He's not sure how that will be possible, though, with the way Rinzler reacted to him.]

I should be able to be repaired, yes. [There was a long pause before that response, though...]
