[ The feed appears and it pans around to show the ceiling of the greenery at first, followed then by a glimpse of blonde hair piled on top of a head. Trays set up on tables in rows are then shown and the camera's beginning to move forward. ]
So. This is happening. Why not, right? I mean, living on a ship comes with its troubles and risks, all that, but now we have to deal with flooding?
Sure, add drowning while in space as another possibility to the list.
[ Listen to that bitter, sarcastic tone. Elena's just about had enough with the troubles that have been thrown at them time and time again. They really can never get a break. But she's over exaggerating, as her husband knows her to do so well. With the amount of water that's burst into various parts of the ship, greenery included, drowning seems highly unlikely.
Elena moves the camera to show where the water is steadily creeping in, points it downward to show her pants rolled up past her knees. She sloshes barefoot through the water to where it's risen up past her ankles; like hell is she going to ruin her shoes in this. ]
Anyway, the point of this was to see if anyone's available to help me out. See, I have a tree that I've been growing for a few months now— [ See now the short tree, the camera moving it into its view, the branches spreading out and bushy with healthy growth and proper TLC. The funny thing about this tree is there are little fist-sized pods hanging in various spots. ] It's a special tree. It might even look familiar to some of you who I know have been living in ships with me for as long as I can remember being stuck here.
If the water reaches it, well, we all know what happens when you overwater your plants.
[ Finally she shows up in the camera and makes a sad face, literally. That is her expression. ]
If you're unable to head over here, no worries! I'd take any suggestions over the comm. There's not a lot in here that's moveable, unfortunately, as far as figuring out a dam.
Let me know! And good luck to the other areas who are getting it worse.
( ooc; it's a little backdated due to rl and getting a chest cold but here's the OTA top level in the log, for anyone interested )
