[Now that the fun of her "prize" for completing the trial is behind her, Clara's ready to focus on things that are important. Like work. The need to be constantly doing something and making herself useful keeps her going, and now that she's started her history project and her maps she figures she can take on one other task.
The only problem is, she's not really sure how this task will go over with the general public. Especially one particular subset of said public. So when she speaks, she looks a little unsure.]
Right, so, schooling. Figure we've all been here long enough now to establish something for the children. Or anyone else that wants to learn, I suppose. I taught seventh year English back in London, but am able to work with just about any level and subject matter.
[She pauses and her head tips to the side, fully expecting to be able to hear the collective screams of all the kids that are around. Her eyes glance away for a second, and when she looks back she's grinning. Surely she can get the kids on board with getting an education.]
Before, back on the Moira, I remember there being something similar in place. Anyone that'd like to assist with getting lessons up and going as soon as possible? Speak up so we can arrange a meeting. Doctor? I'd say you have a choice about helping, but 'fraid I won't go that far. You're already on my list.

He's not good at pretending to be arrogant, so he does blush a little because no, of course he doesn't know everything in the universe.)
I don't think I'd make a great teacher. (That and while he was a pretty good student, he wasn't nearly at the top of his class. Did she really think he was all that brilliant?
He can't deny that that did make him feel...A little good.)
No one is impressed by math. (He says this flatly, but she's ground him down decently. At least enough that he decides to further investigate this school business.)
Is it gonna be like normal school? Tests and P.E.?

[That's honest, at least. She really does hate grading. It's every teacher's least favorite part of the day.]
I was thinking of teaching things like reading, writing, and astronomy. Maybe some space history here and there, depending on who else would like to help. What sort of things would you like to learn, Eddie?

Writing isn't his favorite, but reading? Not bad. Astronomy? Actually interesting. So was space history, his intrigue growing subtly on his face.
But what really catches his attention is the question of what he would like to learn. His mouth pops open and he just stares at her for a couple of seconds. No one in their right mind ever asked children what they wanted to learn. It was all state-mandated things. Boring droning lessons rewashed from grade school up.
So what would he want to learn?
After getting his memories back, learning about how he wasn't all that sick, Eddie knows. He closes his mouth and rubs absently at his arm where he could still sometimes feel the break.)
I dunno. Maybe...like. Medical stuff. (He knew he wasn't allowed in the medical bay, and maybe that was too big of a request for a kid to make, but it would be nice to actually know the truth behind all that garbage his mom had been feeding him for years.)
Would we still have stuff like summer breaks and holiday breaks? Homework?

I'm honestly not sure about a schedule just yet. It's going to take some time to get things established, then I'll let you know. Let's not worry about all that just yet.
[Nothing's set in stone, and she doesn't want to give him information that ends up not being true. She has a feeling that might break his trust in her, and she doesn't want that.]
Do you want to be a doctor? Is that why you're interested in medical things?

Eddie's trust in adults was a pretty fragile thing, so it was decently wise of her to not make any concrete promises.
His mouth screws up and Eddie looks uncomfortable for a second. He's not so sure how honest he wants to be. Did he want to be a doctor? He wasn't so sure he was smart enough for that.)
I don't know what I want to be. (It's a completely honest answer. He's spent his entire life just being sick that that had completely defined his entire existence.)
Just. My dad was real sick when I was younger, and he died, and then I was...(He pauses, frowning and working his mouth around his own convoluted truth.) My mommy was always saying I was really sick. But I'm not. And I was taking all this medicine and I dunno.
(He felt stupid for not knowing better. Maybe if he knew about stuff like that, he wouldn't be so paranoid, would understand what went on behind those white swinging doors at the hospital. Either way, it's a far more complicated reason than just wanting to help people.)
I guess I just want to know better about that stuff.
