[Now that the fun of her "prize" for completing the trial is behind her, Clara's ready to focus on things that are important. Like work. The need to be constantly doing something and making herself useful keeps her going, and now that she's started her history project and her maps she figures she can take on one other task.
The only problem is, she's not really sure how this task will go over with the general public. Especially one particular subset of said public. So when she speaks, she looks a little unsure.]
Right, so, schooling. Figure we've all been here long enough now to establish something for the children. Or anyone else that wants to learn, I suppose. I taught seventh year English back in London, but am able to work with just about any level and subject matter.
[She pauses and her head tips to the side, fully expecting to be able to hear the collective screams of all the kids that are around. Her eyes glance away for a second, and when she looks back she's grinning. Surely she can get the kids on board with getting an education.]
Before, back on the Moira, I remember there being something similar in place. Anyone that'd like to assist with getting lessons up and going as soon as possible? Speak up so we can arrange a meeting. Doctor? I'd say you have a choice about helping, but 'fraid I won't go that far. You're already on my list.

video; COMING RIGHT AT U
As a result, he's perfectly amiable as he turns the feed on, if not just a little caught up in the relief of it.
He isn't doing this alone, thank god.]It seems I have something of a preceding reputation.
The sentiment is not incorrect, of course, though perhaps a little overly positive, given Thisavrou's series of rather spectacular implosions. You taught in London?

It seems that people value what you've done in trying to establish a proper school, Charles.
[It speaks highly of his character and who he is as a person, so Clara trusts they'll be able to get on and work well together.]
I taught at Coal Hill School in London. Seventh year students, though I also took the fifth through eighth years to karate every Monday and ran the astronomy club. Where is it you're from?
[She hears that accent.]
no subject
[ The accent isn't even something he tries to hide. Growing up, it had been a strange point of contention--something Raven loved to poke at, especially when it had been more affected at 12 than it is now as an adult--but now, it simply is. It's the easiest part of any introduction. ]
I think it would hold more value were it to ever get off the ground. Whatever excuses I have for that hardly make it less frustrating. The children here are in some desperate need of normalcy. Currently, we have a cleared out, somewhat repurposed lab, though supplies being short still make that less than ideal. And I'm positive portions of the library could be temporarily annexed.
no subject
I've gathered some supplies recently, but I'm sure we'll need to work together to come up with an extensive list of things that are needed. I know a man that might be willing to help with supply gathering, if I can be convincing enough.
[Erik. She's totally talking about Erik.]
As long as we have a bit of space, we can make things work. There aren't many children here now, but there's always a possibility that more could show up. We need to be ready for them, because I absolutely agree that they need normalcy and stability.

[ Is that relief in his voice? It's definitely relief in his voice. He can't really help the creeping smile either, but for the first time in a while, it hasn't felt forced. ]
Frankly, it's nice to hear that it isn't simply a self-aggrandizing fantasy. I've reached out for assistance before and found help, of course, but with the few months leading to arrival here, there had been no way to give it proper focus. It sounds as if it's time to do so again.

[She's grinning more and more, excited to be getting this off the ground.]
Which means we really should meet face to face later. Just so we can ensure we're on the same page with everything.

His own smile only widens in return. ]
Splendid. Of course, I would be honored.

[Your ass better be squirming now, Arthur.]
god bless
Certainly. I'm happy to help.

[If her smile could become anymore smug it would look evil.]
See, I was talking to someone you know. I believe his name is Arthur? And I was wondering why he would be so keen on helping you with the school if he loathes children and teaching so much. And also, what the best way to go about stroking his ego might be.
no subject
No one expects the Spanish Inquisition. He has to clear his throat before he can even attempt to speak. ]What makes you think this is a matter of ego?
no subject
[She's teasing, Charles. It's not like she's going to come out and say that Arthur is the type of guy she'd normally go for, which means that of course he has an ego. Besides, it's not entirely about his ego here.]
Notice you didn't answer the first part, either?
[Cue the amused laughter.]

[ Or so he's convinced. He's certain. ]
