TEXT; Dated about 7 minutes after the mini-event explosion on Nov 17
Attention all:
At approximately 2200 hours Avagi Station time, you may have heard a loud noise in the Animal Nursery. I can now confirm that this was the ceiling panels collapsing due to excess weight in the Nursery's venting crawlspace. Damage is superficial only, and no primary systems were harmed. Cleanup and repair is underway now.
The good news is the collapse was caused in part by the weight of a nesting ground, and we can now confirm that the infestation plaguing the Avagi station is due to a group of mirco-sized dinosaur-like creatures, ranging from roughly the size of a cup of coffee to a large saucepan. Although there are around ten different species, they are clearly intelligent, and have worked together to keep their presence a secret. However, they are attracted easily to the materials brought back from Kaittos, so now that they are out of the vents, culling efforts should take a minimum amount of time.
Should you happen to see any of the roving micro-dinosaurs, please do not attempt to interact with them if you are not equipped to do so. They are wild animals with razor-sharp teeth and claws. Please leave a message here, and someone will come and help you take care of it ASAP.
For any follow-up questions or concerns, please feel free to post here. Thank you for your time and patience

I might have to catch one for myself. It can make friends with my dog.
[Maybe he's joking. Maybe he misses his dino buddy already.]

[And there it is. Pets. She saw this coming from miles, lightyears away.]
How about a compromise: catch one, get rid of all the rest.

[No point in a bunch of them running around, after all.]
No need to end up with Michael Crichton in miniature.

DID YOU SAY MICRO DINOSAURS?
[Peridot's inner human 5 year old is getting REAL AMPED]
I WAS LEAD TO BELIEVE THAT EARTH DINOSAURS WERE ALL EXTINCT EXCEPT FOR THE AVIAN THAT DESCENDED FROM THEROPODS. THE ONES YOU HUMANS CALL "BIRDS".

On Earth, the dinosaurs still are. But on Thisavrou, we ran into someone planning to run a kind of theme park for them, and now this. Can't help but wonder if they're related.
If it's any consolation, these guys have feathers.

IT LEADS ME TO WONDER WHAT OTHER THEORIES COULD POSSIBLY BE PROVEN USING DATA GLEANED FROM THESE SPECIMENS. OR IF THEY ARE EVEN THE SAME SPECIES AS THOSE FOUND ON EARTH. THIS COULD EVEN BE A FASCINATING CASE OF CONVERGENT EVOLUTION ON A MULTIVERSAL SCALE.
[The scientific possibilities here... the tantalizing promise of new curiosities to be explored. Peridot has a million ideas running through her head at once, but they all come back to one thing:]

BECAUSE THERE'S ONE IN THE WORKSHOP THAT I'M GOING TO KILL

Be my guest. I don't know if they track each other's pheromones, though, so I'd recommend the cleanest method you have on hand, and bringing the corpse to the Animal Nursery.

Where here actually means he missed half the fun due to trial things, but.

You've not used poison on them, have you?
They could be a decent meat source.

Also, they are smart enough to open doors, so a closed room doesn't mean there's none in it. IR scanners work well if you're not dealing with too much interference.
