Hello all, and thank you for taking the time to listen to me. I've provided a text transcription, for those who'd prefer it.

To those of you who don't know me, my name is Shepard. Before Thisavrou, I lived on board the Moira, the ship many of us were pulled to—but before the Moira, I grew up on, and lived aboard ships and man-made satellites my entire life—and if there's one thing they've always consistently needed, it's routine maintenance, and reliable, ship or station-wide communication.

I know many of you have already taken the repair and renewal of this station into your own hands, and that just goes to show what an incredible group of people we have on board right now. The teamwork that went into the development of the new communication devices are a clear tribute to that effort. But while a lot of this has been accomplished simply via word-of-mouth, going forward, it would be good to have a public list of who is working on what, and where.

The goal is to compile a clear record of where people are at—so we know what areas require more help, or who people can contact if they want to volunteer to assist. What I'm not looking to do is push people into roles they're not comfortable with taking—this is all volunteer-based, to build our current home into something better.

So: here's the categories and areas I have so far: General station cleanup, including organization, pest control, and so on. Sanitation and life support, including air, water, and waste maintenance. Medical, including cryo technology. Technology and engineering, including maintenance and improvements. Bartering block occupants. Greenhouse and garden, including maintenance and improvements. General security, including guarding, shifts rota and patrols. Sports and leisure, including the bar, gym, and sundry entertainment areas.

Please feel free to add to that, and please let me know if I've forgotten anything. Once again, I am not any kind of authority on this—this is strictly a publicly-available volunteer chart, and I am merely providing the space for us to organize it in one place. You don't have to take part, or even acknowledge me in the slightest. I have avoided filling out any names ahead of time to allow people to place themselves where they feel they fit best, or where they have already been active.

If you've got a better way to vocalize it, I'm open to suggestions. Not everyone knows what a cat is, after all.

I'd just call it "domestic" or somethin'. I mean, it ain't gonna be like we're gonna get a lot of visitors but most of us can use a marker an' most of us know a language of some color so might as well write somethin' up there.

[This suggestion but knowing the little shits that he knows back home, someone would haul off and figure out a way to scratch out the most permanent of writing just to piss off the guy that put it up.]

Might just be best to come up with better ways of addressing it.

I'll give ever'body credit. If it were my crew the sad cat already woulda had somethin' lewd added to it. I reckon y'all got an extra dose of maturity or lack the necessary sense of adventure.

At this point, I'd say everyone has adventure sense to spare—no comment on the maturity. People just might not be bored enough, yet. Hopefully, it stays that way.

Behavin' themselves mighty well, actually. But I'm guessin' we just got all spent on adjustin' to new places that we got another an' it was just a matter of, "Oh well. Here we are we guess."

I'd almost suspect people were doing better off if someone came along and did their own labels.

Maybe. But it's growing on me, a little.

The community element of it, probably. Always nice to see people working together.

I ain't ever seen much good come out of some notion of community but I figure it works okay for other people.

I'd feel a fuck of a lot better if there was a way out.

[He, sadly, has no one he's attached to beyond Peter. Not many anchors or friends or good times to motivate him. Just thoughts of having been dicked over and stuck here.]

I'm right there with you on that. It's big enough that we've been avoiding cabin fever so far, but...

[She shrugs, but there's not a lot of doom and gloom on her face.]

We'll think of something. I have a lot of faith in how things are going so far. People are coming up with their own ideas, and moving forward with their own purpose. It speaks volumes about what we can expect in the future around here.

Look, you're all anticipatin' somethin' good. But from what I seen, I got here? An' there was a normal world. Then there was a fake world. An' then there was prison. Then a warzone. Now we're hip deep in this.

What I expect of the future? Ain't really as bright as what you seem to be seein'. I hope people's sense of purpose is directed towards that.

Hold on—I never anticipate anything good. I just hope for the best—that's from people, not things.

I've been here for a long time, now, and if something isn't already going wrong? It will.

Consider this a little bit of forethought. People in teams, working towards fixing the system before the problems start.

Don't get me wrong. I'm a team player. I'm a Captain back home. But I ain't necessarily feelin' warm-hearted over a bunch of displaced people and feel good about 'em scrapin' along to get by.
