[It's a difficult thing, only being able to watch as things unfold. There's nothing that the Ghost can do, not when the Mother is at the master controls. It can see a light approaching, even from within the system as it clings to what it can of the communications. Bright and growing brighter. It's done now.]

[The frequency bursts briefly in white noise before silencing completely, just as the light beyond the sky flares.]
