[That seems like a good opener, right? He suspects it might have happened anyway, without the interference of the team he took into the treatment plant, but this is more to get people's attention in the aftermath of the psychic call than anything else.]

He hangs back a few feet, though, feigning nonchalance, in case they're being monitored. Which they probably are, and it doesn't matter much, but it makes him feel better.]

So, were you hiding this from everyone you took to the plant, or just me?

[But he tells Ana everything, which he’s sure Lavellan knows by now, even without knowing them very well. It’s moot, because Ana was actually present for the encounter, but that’s not something he’s about to say. Instead, Jack rises from where he’s seated, folding his arms. He knows it wasn’t Lavellan’s fault, really, but can Jack really be blamed for not trusting him with the evidence?]

Wasn’t sure how the rest of you would take it.

[It's not said with any resentment: of course Jack told Ana, because he would. Lavellan had expected as much.

He doesn't quite clue in to the rest of what Jack isn't saying, however.]

[Yeah, sorry dude. You were drinking the Kool-Aid for a minute there. In fact, Jack isn't entirely convinced that Lavellan isn't still drinking Kool-Aid, but that's what this conversation is for.]

[Jack's certainly more reticent than Lavellan had been expecting. He crosses his arms, no small amount of irritation flashing across his face.]

[Jack passes his TAB, where he's already gone through the encryptions to bring up the video. All that's left to do is hand it to Lavellan, who can take all the time he needs to watch and process.]

[Lavellan watches it in silence, the subtle shifting on his face as he processes it all the only clue to his thoughts. There's a point where he breathes in sharply--if Jack is paying attention, he might be able to overhear the faint dialogue, to know what point it is. They take you apart and find all the pieces and twist you up so you fit into their shape. But he says nothing.

When it's done, he simply hands it back to Jack, his face impassive and his hands steady.]

Pleasant. I can see why you didn't want it made public.

[He'll let Lavellan watch it as many times as he likes--Jack has certainly poured over it excessively, trying to piece together just who and what the child is. Instead, he watches Lavellan's face, most notably for any sign of anger or resistance to what's been recorded on video.]

It was a little sensitive.

I wonder how much good it will do us now.

[It's not an accusation. He really does understand why Jack kept this quiet.]

After all, we've already seen their true colors.

[He imagines that's the most likely outcome, but he'd be remiss if he didn't share the evidence before they finish this fight, simply on the chance that it could be helpful, if only to shed some light on things.]
