Miles here. I know our medical staff here is limited, but does anyone on board have any experience with orthopedics? Due to a recent unforeseen medical development, some old physical problems have resurfaced, and I'm in need of a pair of leg braces. I've got brittle bones, and they help keep my legs from breaking quite so easily. I could do without the limp, too. I haven't needed the braces the last few years until now, so naturally, I don't have them here.

I don't expect anyone to make a pro bono offer, but I'd be happy to work out some kind of a trade. Just...sooner rather than later.

No, I don't have any combat armor here, or else I'd have worn it on Caducus Primary. A couple of sidearms, that's it. I take it you've read the book, then?

Seemed like he had the military force to just overpower Komarr, but he took a political route instead. Wouldn't have thought of factoring in economics.

Just so. He's hailed as one of the most brilliant military and political minds of his generation and then some. It was never the intent to annihilate Komarr, just to control it. They've been trying to assimilate Komarr into a part of the Barrayaran Empire societally instead of just in name ever since its conquest.
